Everything You Need to Know About Expedition 3 in Arc Raiders

Expedition in Arc Raiders is a seasonal progression and prestige-reset system that returns every 45–60 days. Players build a special caravan from collected resources and send their Raider beyond the Rust Belt. Current character progress is completely reset, but players receive permanent rewards and temporary bonuses for the next run.

The system works similarly to prestige in other games: you sacrifice current progress in exchange for long-term upgrades for your next character.

When to Expect Expedition 3

Expedition 2 ended on March 2, 2026, and Expedition 3 is expected around mid-April 2026. Exact dates have not yet been announced by the developers.

The caravan submission window usually lasts 5–7 days, during which players must prepare their caravan and gather all required resources.

Expedition 3 Stages (Project Stages)

Expedition consists of six stages, each requiring specific resources:

1. Foundation – basic materials such as metal parts, chemicals, and alloys.
2. Core Systems – wires, fabric, components, and chargers.
3. Framework – batteries, modules, and structural caravan parts.
4. Outfitting – upgraded parts and rare resources.
5. Load Stage – total value of items in categories like weapons, survival gear, provisions, and materials. At this stage, a specific total value must be reached (for example, equivalent to 300,000 coins, though requirements may vary).
6. Departure – final stage when the caravan is ready for launch.

This progression allows players to plan resource gathering strategically for maximum rewards.

Expedition 3 Rewards

Rewards are divided into permanent and temporary bonuses.

Permanent Rewards

• Extra inventory slots
• Exclusive cosmetic items, including special outfits and equipment
• Expedition profile icon
• Skill Points (up to 5 per Expedition), earned based on the value of stored items and coins (1 Skill Point per 600,000 coins). Skill Points give new progress for the next character and increase their strength in future expeditions.

Temporary Bonuses

• Increased XP gain
• Improved material yield from Scrappy
• Repair bonuses

Temporary bonuses last until the next Expedition or until you miss the submission window.

What is Retained and What is Lost

When you send your Raider on Expedition 3, certain elements of your account are retained. You keep all permanent rewards, your account cosmetics and items, as well as progress in the Codex, Trials, and the world map. Your ranking position also remains unaffected. However, you will lose the items stored in your stash, any coins you have accumulated, the current Raider’s level and quest progress, and all temporary upgrades from the current run.

Skill Points Details

Skill Points are calculated based on the total value of your stash and coins, giving an advantage to the next Raider. To earn the maximum Skill Points, enough value must be accumulated. Requirements were reduced from 5,000,000 to 3,000,000 coins for the maximum, with 1 Skill Point per 600,000 coins.

Should You Participate in Expedition 3?

According to player feedback, expeditions provide significant progression and a sense of achievement. However, gathering resources and preparing the caravan requires considerable time and effort.

In short, Expedition 3 is a seasonal reset system where you sacrifice current progress to earn cumulative rewards, including Skill Points and temporary bonuses for future Raiders. The next start is expected around mid-April 2026.
