Guide to Enigma 7.31. The hero who wins games

Enigma has always been a spectacular and interesting hero, which often determines the outcome of the game. To play this character, you need to learn how to control your units and understand what position you need to be in at the start of the battle. In the new patch, the second skill was improved for the hero, now the eidolons have become much stronger and it becomes very difficult to stand in a lane against this character.

Hero Abilities

malefice

Concentrates Enigma's energy on the target, causing them to take damage and stun every 2 seconds.

Cast animation: 0.3+0.6
Cast Range: 600
Number of stuns: 3
Interval: 2
Damage per Stun: 40/60/80/100
Stun duration per interval: 0.4/0.6/0.8/1
Duration: 4

  • The first stun procs on cast, then every 2 seconds.
  • Can deal up to 120/180/240/300 damage (before reductions).
  • Each time Malefice hits, it first deals damage, then stuns.
  • Multiple casts of Malefice do not stack, but refresh the duration. The ability continues to trigger at the first cast intervals.

Demonic Conversion

Turns a creep into three controlled fragments of the hero himself - eidolons. They split into two after several attacks, while fully restoring health.
Cast animation: 0.3+0.7
Cast Range: 700
Number of Eidolons: 3
Attacks to split: 6
Duration: 40

  • Demonic Conversion kills the target unit, granting gold and experience, or finishing if the ability is cast on allied units.
  • Attacking buildings or allied creatures does not count as spawning attacks, but attacking wards does.
  • The attack is scored when the projectile is launched, not when it hits.
  • Eidolons spawn after the 7th projectile fired from an attack, regardless of whether a valid target was attacked or not (such as a structure).
  • When breeding, the health of the eidolons is updated. Their duration does not refresh. Doing so increases the duration of split eidolons by 2 seconds.
  • Eidolons can only breed once. Eidolons that appear after breeding cannot divide.

Midnight Pulse

Fills the area with a dark resonance that deals damage to enemies based on their maximum health.
Cast Animation: 0.1+0
Cast Range: 700
Radius: 550 (580)
Damage from max. health per second: 4.75%/5.5%/6.25%/7%
Duration: 9/10/11/12

  • Midnight Pulse deals damage in 1 second intervals, starting 1 second after cast, resulting in 9/10/11/12 instances.
  • Can deal up to 42.75%/55%/68.75%/84% of affected units' maximum health as damage.
  • Does not affect ancient creeps and wards.
  • Each cast of Midnight Pulse is separate from the others.
  • Destroys trees within 550 radius of the target area when used.

black hole

Forms a funnel that sucks in all enemies in the area of effect. However, they cannot move, attack, or use abilities.
Cast Animation: 0.3+0
Cast Range: 275
Max. duration: 4
Radius inside: 420
Damage per second: 100/150/200
Aura Delay Duration: 0.5
Aghanim's Shard: Pulls enemies within a 1200 radius towards the center of the black hole, but does not interrupt their effect. Pull Speed: 175
  • Fully disables all trapped enemies and silences them.
  • Pulls the affected creatures counterclockwise towards the center at a speed of 30 units, causing the creatures to travel up to 120 units.
  • Deals damage in 1 second intervals, starting 1 second after cast, resulting in 4 instances.
  • Aghanim's Scepter upgrade does not apply Midnight Pulse when using Black Hole, but simply adds damage to Black Hole
  • With Aghanim's Shard, drags units in a 1200 radius counterclockwise at a speed of 175, resulting in a maximum travel distance of 700.
  • The closer beings are to the center, the stronger they are attracted to it.
  • However, unlike the pull within the Black Hole area itself, this spiraling is much weaker, more towards the center.
  • External Pull is generated by a separate aura that lasts 0.5 seconds or until the spell ends, whichever ends first.
  • This pull does not disable the targets, but rather makes them move towards the center of the Black Hole. If the target runs away from the Black Hole, then it will actually slow down by 175, and if you run towards the center of the spell, then vice versa - it will speed up by 175.

Learning abilities

Enigma's main weapons in the early game are eidolons, which provide a lot of damage in the lane, and also deal damage in the Black Hole. The first ability is needed in order to catch opponents, in conjunction with a support, you can make kills in the lane.

Talents

At level 10, it is worth taking the right talent, as this is our main damage in the early game. Next comes also the right talent for a radius of 3 skills, which helps to put it more conveniently. Left talent at level 20, coupled with 10, gives a significant boost in damage, all this is complemented by a talent for +5 eidolons. If there are no heroes in the enemy’s peak that can quickly deal with them, then you will deal a huge amount of damage.

When buying sticks we should play more aggressively, mana regen is always enough to spam eidolons. Arcana is worth buying if you need to press 1 skill often.

Gameplay

We go into a difficult lane and from the very beginning of the creeps’ release we eat the ranged creep and stop the rest, trying to make a distance between them so that they die one by one. After that, the enemy pack should be under your tower. In this style, we eat all our ranged creeps so that the enemies have less experience and the creeps stand under your tower. When you get level 3 and level 2 eidolons, you need to look for an opportunity to attack the warag, you have a lot of damage and it will not work just to stand and exchange with you. With the support of the four, it should be possible to kill the enemy carry a couple of times.

When reaching level 6, we try to use BlackHole as early as possible, even on one hero, so that the ultimate is on cooldown.

In the first half of the game, Enigma generally plays more passively, farming and looking for small ganks. In principle, you can even use the ult on a single target, but on the condition that you definitely kill the enemy and this is some kind of key target, for example, an enemy carry.

Starting from the middle of the game, Enigma starts to move along with the team and look for good fights for himself, it is advisable to do this all under smoke.

One of the advantages of Enigma is that due to his eidalons, the hero can even push the enemy lanes quite well. In other words, if your team has an appropriate composition and plans to actively push, then Enigma will fit very well into such a strategy.

The hero is certainly very strong and can earn victory for his team even in the most difficult situations. To do this, you will have to play several games in order to understand how to hold the position and at what moment you should jump from BlackHole.
