Version1 of VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík

Version1 lost 0: 2 to Fnatic and left VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík, finishing in 5th-6th place. In turn, the European team will meet with the winner of the Team Vikings - Team Liquid pair.

The meeting started on the Icebox map. Despite a confident start in the performance of Fnatic, the North American team managed to return to the game and equalized the score before switching sides. The second half was held in a more equal atmosphere, as the teams exchanged a series of taken rounds for a long time. At some time, Version1 was quite close to winning on its map, until the European team played two confident rounds and turned things over to overtime. However, here Fnatic did not stand on ceremony, taking their pick with a score of 14:12.

On Ascent, things got even worse for Version1, as the team couldn't come to their senses after an offensive defeat on the first map. And if in the first half the North American team managed to catch on for four rounds in attack, then in defense the situation became deplorable. As a result, Fnatic had no difficulty in winning the second map with a score of 13: 6, thereby securing a place in the fourth round of the lower bracket.

VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík runs from May 24th to 30th. Top 10 teams from different regions compete for $ 600,000 plus 2,350 Champions Tour Points.
