Sentinels Dominate Wolves Esports 2:0 at Masters Toronto Opener
Sentinels kicked off their run at the Swiss Stage of Masters Toronto with a dominant 2:0 victory over Wolves Esports at the Enercare Centre. On the first map, Split, Wolves took control early with an 8:4 lead in the first half, but Sentinels turned the tide after switching sides, clutching key rounds and securing a 13:11 win with the help of strong ult usage and decisive plays from bang and johnqt. On Lotus, Sentinels started aggressively, claiming the pistol and building a 9:3 halftime advantage before closing the map 13:8, despite a late push from Wolves. Standout performances came from johnqt, who showed excellent leadership, and N4RRATE, whose pistol round gave the team critical momentum. Although Wolves’ SiuFatBB and Lysoar impressed with their aggressive style, key mistakes cost them the match. Reflecting on the game, johnqt said, “We just had a difficult start after losing pistol and bonus, and we adapted.”
With a 1-0 score, Sentinels now advance in the upper bracket and will face Bilibili Gaming on June 9.
