VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: China Qualifier format

The tournament will be played as a hybrid Double-Elimination event. The first round matches will be played according to the rules of the single elimination net. Thus, the losers of the Long qualifiers will leave the qualifiers.

From the quarter-finals of the upper net, a Double-Elimination grid scheme will be played. The first round matches, the quarter-finals of the top draw, the first round of the bottom draw and the quarter-finals of the bottom draw, will be played as BO3 (two to two wins). In turn, all remaining matches will be played in BO5 format (up to three wins).

The top three teams in the qualifiers for China will receive invitations to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023. Thus both grand finalists as well as the squad that will make it to the final of the lower divisions will qualify to LA. In turn, for all remaining teams in the China region, the season will be over.

Since the qualifiers will be played in a hybrid format, the top four teams in China were directly invited to the quarterfinals of the top flight:

• Attacking Soul Esports, EDward Gaming, Bilibili Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix.

In turn, eight other rosters will start their journey from the elimination stage (first round):

• Trace Esports, TYLOO, Team Weibo, Royal Never Give Up, Monarch Effect, NTER, Four Angry Men and Dragon Ranger Gaming.

It's these competitors who will be up for grabs for the top three prizes.
