The 2025 season has been a mixed one for T1 — the team faced real challenges early in the year following Zeus’s departure. However, by mid-season, they managed to regain stability and once again established themselves as one of the main contenders for the championship title.
Looking at their performance at Worlds 2025 so far, T1 don’t appear to be the undisputed favorites defending their crown. They are undoubtedly one of the strongest teams at the tournament, but their current form leaves something to be desired.

This year has been quite successful for KOI. The team secured victories in regional tournaments and gained valuable international experience by playing several matches against top-tier opponents — something especially important ahead of Worlds 2025.
In the Swiss Stage, they reached a 2–2 record, though their opponents weren’t the strongest. They defeated Fnatic, a team they’ve beaten multiple times during previous splits, and TWS, in a very close matchup. However, when facing stronger teams, KOI have clearly struggled.

Recent head to head: T1 Team edging it
The teams have faced each other only once this season — at the Esports World Cup 2025, where T1 claimed a 2–1 victory.
Players to watch: Oner and Elyoya
Junglers set the pace of the game, and Oner is an extremely proactive player who consistently finds great kills and creates massive space for his team. Meanwhile, MKOI are an aggressive team as a whole — they always go full throttle and rarely slow down. That’s why the flow and outcome of this match will heavily depend on jungle performance. So, if you’re planning to make LoL betting tips, make sure to pay close attention to the jungle picks — especially Oner and Elyoya.
Predicted result of the match
We’ve arrived at the conclusion of our Worlds 2025 analysis, and it’s time to share the final prediction. Both teams are entering the tournament in impressive shape, showing solid coordination, strong drafts, and consistent results. However, only one of them will manage to prove their dominance on stage and secure the win in this highly anticipated matchup.
My LoL betting prediction: a win for T1
For me, T1 are the absolute favorites in this matchup. Despite not being in their best form at this tournament, they remain incredibly strong in macro play and have an excellent understanding of map control — which allows them to gain plenty of experience and gold even when they’re behind in kills. MKOI, on the other hand, have been underperforming at this event, and their main issue — the inability to slow down and play reactively when needed — still persists. That’s why I believe T1 should confidently take this series and advance to the Knockout Stage.
