Match Prediction: Ultra Prime - LGD Gaming | LoL
LPL Spring 2022 - Group Stage (Week 1-5)We open the first of three matches for this day at LPL Spring 2022 with a meeting between two losers: Ultra Prime vs LGD Gaming. And although both teams are still 0-3 in matches, I would not be in a hurry to call both outsiders.
On the one hand, we have LGD, who show an objectively mediocre game within this split. And on the other hand, relatively charged guys from UP, who two days earlier were able to literally snatch victory from those same “Edwards” with their teeth.
Nominally, I would say that UP look much stronger than LGD, they just haven't had much luck with their opponents so far: LNG Esports, Top Esports, EDward Gaming. For a complete list of “bingo favorites”, FunPlus Phoenix and Royal Never Give Up were not enough. But still ahead.
Form Ultra Prime
Medium-low strength team within the Celestial Empire pro-scene and LPL splits.
Their roster was obviously strengthened by a new mid-laner represented by Cryin from RNG and two new coaches. The main line-up itself looks good, but implementation and teamwork take time, as well as understanding from coaches.
When players catch the courage, they can defeat teams stronger than their own, as has already happened several times, but more on that later.
I have already said that the accomplishments of UP ended with the favorites of the region like IG or FPX. Serious teams have not yet succumbed to them, as happened in a recent match with LNG. Top Esports continued the series of defeats on the favorites, however, they managed to take one card away from them. The second incident was EDward Gaming, who also managed to win back the second map.
I doubt that EDG are stupid enough to underestimate their opponent, even if it is a lower level team. And there were no problems with the pick in the match either. In fact, Ultra Prime has implemented their own peak and movement around the map very well.
Composition of Ultra Prime:
- Aliez is the top lane.
- zs - top lane.
- H4cker - forest.
- Cryin - mid lane.
- Elk - bot lane.
- ShiauC - support.
Form LGD Gaming
The next experiments of LGD Gaming with their roster did not lead to anything good. As I noted earlier, the organization very often sorted out players for different roles in order to find a comfortable and suitable roster. Alas, by this split they failed to assemble a strong enough and well-played team that other teams would consider as an opponent.
Moreover, the players have new coaches who know and train them for just over a month.
Each of the players has good potential and personal performance, but the teamwork and understanding of the team is still not enough.
It's not surprising that they fell away from a team like AL, and later lost outright to one of the favorites in the face of FPX. The last straw was the loss from JD Gaming with a score of 2:0, which are also not a particularly strong team in the region.
Ingredients of LGD:
- fearness - top lane.
- shad0w - forest.
- YeG - mid lane.
- Eric - bot lane.
- Jinjiao - support.
Meeting history
Previously, the teams met only within the two previous LPL Spring 2021/2020 splits. This spring split will be the third in a row for the teams where they will fight each other. Over the previous two years, the teams played 4 joint matches, 3 of which were taken with the victory of LGD Gaming.
Match result
Ultra Prime victory. They are clear favorites for me here, against the background of LGD Gaming, who look like one of the outsiders of the tournament.
I definitely won't risk predicting a clear victory for the guys from UP, maybe there will be 3 maps. But the bet is to win Ultra Prime.
Bookmakers & Statistics
According to leading bookmakers predictions, the team Ultra Prime are the favorite with average odds 1.29 at the moment. Respectively, bookmakers consider LGD Gaming to be the outsider of the match with odds on a victory in the sum of about 3.718.
In the case of solidarity with the bookmaker’s position about the possible winner of the match, a bet at will be more preferable where odds 1.39 are given on Ultra Prime victory. If you are confident that analysts provide a totally wrong prediction, you should risk and make a bet on LGD Gaming success at - the team’s victory is evaluated with the high odds 4.2.
