Greetings to all fans of eSports and League of Legends in particular! At EGamersWorld you will find a series of predictions for LCK Summer 2022 and I will lead them, Iie.
Recently, the Korean professional League of Legends scene has been attracting more and more viewers. And this outcome does not surprise me at all, because thanks to T1 and their success, the region received a lot of hype. Even at the Mid-Season Invitational 2022, matches involving Faker and company were watched by more viewers than Royal Never Give Up.
And at the very beginning of the Korean split of this spring, I confidently stated that T1 seemed the strongest to me, despite the opinions of most bookmakers and analysts who believed so much in Gen.G.
Now we are waiting for another split, but for which the teams were preparing much more seriously than usual. After all, a trip to Worlds 2022 is at stake.
Fredit BRION vs DWG KIA
The second match of this day promises to be no less interesting than the first, where Gen.G Esports take part. This time, the former DWG world champions KIA and the relatively well-played LCK Fredit BRION team, which was previously known as Brion Esports, will meet in a duel.
In the previous split, the teams met with each other several times and one could get the impression that DWG were the next target of BRO. Even being a favorite and ex-champion, they are not given by an easy opponent.
The most intriguing meeting for me personally!
Form Fredit BRION
It seemed that the Fredit BRION organization looked relatively weak compared to the rest of the LCK bands. However, it was at LCK Spring 2022 that, in my opinion, they shone in all their glory.
The team made small changes in their main roster, putting all the esports players they played together, and this definitely gave a result. They very confidently defeated the average and weak teams of their region, while they themselves flew off from the local favorites.
At the beginning of the spring split, there was a complete feeling that they could beat the teams and that they were strong. In their first match against T1, they took the first map abruptly and almost finished the second one. But T1 is a reference League of Legends roster that is able to adapt and win.
Looking at what's going on in the Chinese LPL, I'm starting to have more and more expectations for these guys. I hope that the period between spring and summer, when MSI-2022 was underway, gave them time to calmly exhale, find mistakes and gather their courage for new victories.

DWG shape KIA
Team DWG KIA are the latest League of Legends world champions from Korea. The team, after taking the Worlds 2020, continued to dominate its home scene in 2021 on both splits, but by 2022 they decided to change the roster.
In fact, from the strongest DWG line-up, there was a stellar bunch from Canyon in the jungle and, of course, ShowMaker in the mid lane. And now, it seems, the most influential roles on the game remained, but the team's performance fell down.
This spring, they became the third team on the leaderboard, behind only T1 and Gen.G. And the group stage ended on a par with DRX. Basically, I liked them in the playoffs. But during the group stage, they could throw a little, both the game itself and the draft stage.
Still an extremely strong team, but which has lost its former power.

Meeting history
DWG 3:0 BRO – LCK Spring 2022 Playoff
DWG 0:2 BRO – LCK Spring 2022 Group Stage
DWG 2:0 BRO – LCK Spring 2022 Group Stage
DWG 2:0 BRO – LCK Summer 2021 Group Stage
DWG 1:2 BRO – LCK Summer 2021 Group Stage
As you can see from the statistics of matches between the two teams, sometimes BRION can take over the match. In my opinion, this suggests that DWG sometimes tends to relax during the group stage, and BRO themselves are able to defeat them when they go.
Match outcome
Despite all my support and faith in Freddit BRION, it would be objective to say that DWG KIA look an order of magnitude stronger than their opponent. I am sure that most of the group stage scores are not yet known - DWG will try to score as many as possible. Yes, and hitting the dirt in the very first match of the tournament is not the most pleasant thing.
Almost the only way to lose is to underestimate the BRION players after a clean playoff game. But they will be fresh and full of energy at the beginning.
Outcome: clear victory for DWG KIA
