Greetings to all League of Legends esports fans! At EGamersWorld, together we continue to analyze the events of LECSummer 2022 and make our predictions. Let me remind you that this is the largest League of Legends tournament in Europe, and €200,000 EUR and three places at Worlds 2022 are at stake .

We are now in the 6th gaming week of the tournament, which in terms of the distribution of matches between the teams will be absolutely mirrored in the 2nd week of the LEC, perhaps with slight changes in the order of meetings.

SK Gaming vs Astralis

Are we really in for a spectacular rematch by SK Gaming?

Another game week of the most important League of Legends event in Europe begins! And for the second time the week on this split will open with a match between SK Gaming and Astralis. Both teams, surprisingly, show themselves much better than at LEC Spring 2022. And this can only be rejoiced at! After all, the stronger the team, the more interesting it is to watch the game. And since this is their second meeting as part of the Summer 2022 split, this will be nothing more than a revenge.

SK Gaming Uniform

Relatively average LEC team of the last four years, but with extremely long experience in the professional scene. Most often, they took places just below the middle of the list, not reaching the playoffs.

After the end of 2018, the team lost its good roster with Scarface, Phrenic, SozPurefect and began to change the roster literally at the beginning of each new split, which is not reflected in the best way on chemistry. Fortunately, now the roster has remained untouched since LEC Spring 2022.

The team had a very, very sad start with a score of 1-6 at the end of the third game week of the LEC. But what we have seen from them over the past two weeks is a very worthy competitive level of play. It looks like the guys got together and finally decided to comeback, which allowed them to take down Excel, G2 and put a lot of pressure on MAD Lions.

Their mid-laner Sertuss deserves special praise, who can often lead the team and bring the next game situation to a favorable alignment for his team.

Earlier I wrote that the team had obvious problems with the draft and that behind them there was a very big and bold minus: to take not very working and harmonious compositions. But as far as you can see, even here the situation is gradually improving.

Pretty average team compared to the level of competition we see at this year's European Summer Split. Now they go with the score 4-7. I don't think they will be able to rise much higher than their current position.

Astralis shape

The team for which this competitive year will be the second in history and immediately to the LEC. A young team in League of Legends esports, and therefore it is still difficult for them. All previous three splits ended at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Also, Astralis became one of the few teams with slots on the LEC who almost completely changed their roster since the spring, after an unsuccessful performance at the LEC Spring 2022. It is possible that such changes did them good, because now they are beating teams of the middle-low level, though not without difficulty.

At least a big change that really benefits and moves the team is the support player JeongHoon, who has already received MVP twice and this is in the support role! I am sure that this experience had a very positive effect on Astralis. And in conjunction with the experienced Kobbe, the players look quite confident.

Now they go with a score of 5-6 in meetings, occupying a position exactly in the middle of the list, thus overtaking 4 teams at once. Considering the team's performance in the previous three splits, where the team managed to show itself, now their form is the peak of what we could see before. Many commentators and analysts agree with this opinion and admire how Astralis has grown over the year.

Meeting history

I propose to analyze exactly the match that took place between the teams four weeks earlier. And Astralis defeated him, but it's also impossible to deny that SK Gaming were in great shape in the first three weeks. Then Astralis overtook them both in the draft and in the game itself, control over the map.

I believe that this time we will see both teams in full combat readiness and SK, at least, will want to equalize the score for that match.

Match outcome

I will be extremely honest - both teams are very equal in their abilities. And if SK Gaming didn't show such a great game on weeks 4 and 5, I would single out Astralis as a favorite without a second thought. But in the current condition, SK looks slightly stronger than their opponent. I would promise victory to them.
