Greetings to all League of Legends esports fans! At EGamersWorld, together we continue to analyze the events of LEC Summer 2022 and make our predictions. Let me remind you that this is the largest League of Legends tournament in Europe, and €200,000 EUR and three places at Worlds 2022 are at stake.
Misfits Gaming vs MAD Lions
A good chance for the "lion" to take revenge on the "rabbit" for spring
The fourth and penultimate match for this day as part of this year's main European League of Legends event is LEC Summer 2022. Misfits Gaming will meet MAD Lions in it. Yes, we can say that this is another match for today, where there is a clear favorite, which is MAD. Misfits form is mediocre right now, but the chances are there.
Misfits Gaming Uniform
The top 3-4 team of the spring split has given up their positions quite well. If earlier they were on a par with the same G2, Rogue, Fnatic in the group stage, then already in the first two weeks they managed to catch 3 pockets from weaker teams and another one from Rogue. And only their last meeting with SK Gaming ended in victory for them. So, like their opponent, the Misfits are going 1-4 in matches.
It is possible that these are just the consequences of the Tempering of Champions patch, which dramatically changed the League of Legends meta and the MSF player needs some time to adapt. But from what I can see, they often get lost in team fights, and their vision is abysmal for a professional scene.
The new top laner Irrelevant is performing both well and well.
And if they have good chances against BDS, then it will be much more difficult with MAD Lions.
Compound:
- Irrelevant - top laner
- Shlatan - forester
- Vetheo - mid laner
- Neon - bot laner
- Mersa - support
Form M.A.D. Lions
Top 4 team in the European League of Legends pro-scene, however, which has fallen heavily in ratings and power ratings after changing their roster.
And I remind you that since the moment MAD Lions were still known as Splyce, they constantly showed us a performance worthy of 3rd - 4th place in each LEC split. But the recent LEC Spring 2022 was, to put it mildly, a failure for them.
The team is very well known for not often changing its players in the first team, and therefore good teamwork is always expected from them. However, in the spring they changed their mid-laner to Nisqy and ADK to UNF0RGIVEN. By the way, Nisqy has already received MVP three times and looks pretty good.
So far, MAD Lions are doing well, showing results against both weak and strong teams. In their piggy bank, the victory over Fnatic was a close game with Rogue, which they nevertheless took away by stealing the Elder Dragon.
They show themselves quite well, both in the draft, in team maneuvers, and in map control. But there is work to be done.
Compound:
- Armut - top laner
- Elyoya - forester
- Nisqy - mid laner
- UNF0RGIVEN - bot laner
- Kaiser - support
Meeting history
The teams are approximately at equal levels of strength and with varying degrees of success win one second. However, Misfits Gaming won 2 out of 2 meetings at LEC Spring 2022. But given their game now, the result could be completely opposite.
Misfits Gaming 1:0 MAD Lions – LEC Spring 2022 Group Stage
Misfits Gaming 1:0 MAD Lions – LEC Spring 2022 Group Stage
Misfits Gaming 0:1 MAD Lions – LEC Summer 2021 Group Stage
Misfits Gaming 0:1 MAD Lions – LEC Summer 2021 Group Stage
Misfits Gaming 1:0 MAD Lions – LEC Spring 2021 Group Stage
Match outcome
I think that this time everything is quite simple: MAD Lions show a decent competitive game, while Misfits Gaming are not in shape at all and lose even to weak teams. Unless the Misfits can completely beat them at the draft stage, the victory should go to the Lions.
Outcome: victory for MAD Lions
