Greetings to all League of Legends esports fans! At EGamersWorld, together we continue to analyze the events of LEC Summer 2022 and make our predictions. Let me remind you that this is the largest League of Legends tournament in Europe, and €200,000 EUR and three places at Worlds 2022 are at stake.
MAD Lions vs G2 Esports
What are MAD's chances of winning against the new G2?
On the one hand, we have the “true lions”, who entered the Worlds for three years in a row, dominated the LEC playoffs, but the guys didn’t have a spring split. On the other hand, the reborn G2 Esports, which, after one unsuccessful season in 2021, returned with renewed vigor and are ready to tear everyone to shreds.
Form M.A.D. Lions
Top 4 team in the European League of Legends pro-scene, however, which has fallen heavily in ratings and power ratings after changing their roster.
And I remind you that since the moment MAD Lions were still known as Splyce, they constantly showed us a performance worthy of 3rd - 4th place in each LEC split. But the recent LEC Spring 2022 was, to put it mildly, a failure for them.
The team is very well known for not often changing its players in the first team, and therefore good teamwork is always expected from them. However, in the spring they changed their mid-laner to Nisqy and ADK to UNF0RGIVEN. By the way, Nisqy has already received MVP three times and looks pretty good.
So far, MAD Lions are doing well, showing results against both weak and strong teams. In their piggy bank, the victory over Fnatic was a close game with Rogue, which they nevertheless took away by stealing the Elder Dragon.
They show themselves quite well, both in the draft, in team maneuvers, and in map control. But there is work to be done.
Compound:
- Armut - top laner
- Elyoya - forester
- Nisqy - mid laner
- UNF0RGIVEN - bot laner
- Kaiser - support
G2 Esports Uniform
Winner of the previous LEC Spring 2022 split, runner-up at the Mid-Season Invitational 2022, and Europe's reference League of Legends team that has been dominating the home scene for many years.
Yes, the team had difficulties in the last competitive season, but they were able to overcome them, which resulted in a new roster. They did it very well, replacing all players except for the two most influential roles in the game: caPs in the mid lane in conjunction with the old Jankos in the jungle. Other roles were filled with very capable and younger players.
After the spring split and the first two weeks, they are quite rightly considered the strongest team in the LEC at the moment. They are good at everything from drafting to implementing even unusual ideas. Sometimes a team allows itself to take something amazing within the meta pro scene and even win, earning style points. And caPs can now be safely called the European Faker.
They are 4 - 1 in matches, having blown off Team BDS once in an amazing way. Perhaps they underestimated their opponent.
Compound:
- BrokenBlade - top laner
- Jankos - forester
- caps - mid laner
- Flakked - bot laner
- Targamas - support
Meeting history
The teams have quite a long history of rivalry and, in general, there is a noticeable dominance from G2, while MAD Lions tend to pull out surprise victories in the Bo5 playoffs.

Match outcome
I'll be honest, if a miracle happens, MAD Lions will take a very good draft for myself and will impose their game - there is a chance to win on character. However, the roster and shape of the G2 seems to be an order of magnitude better at the moment.
Result: G2 Esports will win this match
