European Masters Summer 2021: Group D Results

The last day of Group D was opened by Karmine Corp and Vodafone Giants. Many thought that the French would be able to overcome the group stage without defeat, but the Spaniards showed character and were able to beat the champions of the spring EU Masters series. By this, Vodafone Giants not only strengthened their 2nd position, but also created big problems for mousesports: now the mice also need to beat KC and reduce everything to a face-to-face match with the Spaniards.

MOUZ manages to beat Macko Esports without great difficulties, but Vodafone Giants are also not lagging behind and outplay the Italians.

The mousesports match against Karmine Corp decided everything in Group D:

  • If the French wins, then they and Vodafone Giants already advance 100%, despite the results of subsequent matches;
  • If MOUZ wins, then in the group there is a situation in which Karmine Corp may not make it to the quarter finals and the risk of replay for 3 teams, where everyone has a chance to go further.

In the decisive game, Karmine Corp simply re-drafted their opponents and won a very important match for themselves in 30 minutes. Then they beat Macko Esports without any problems, and in the last match of the playing day, mousesports nevertheless proved to be stronger than Vodafone Giants, but this victory had no effect on anything.
