Blizzard Announces first Wild Format Hearthstone Tournament

Wild players worldwide have called for the format to get some more attention, since it has a surprisingly large playerbase, yet no competitive scene whatsoever. Just a day or so ago, Blizzard has heeded their cries. An official announcement was made regarding a tournament taking place in late May sometime. So far, the only information we have on players are that the top 64 Legend rank players in Wild format for the month of May will receive an invite to this tournament. As far as official invites to traditional competitive players, we have yet to receive any information regarding that.

Furthermore, the fact that all cards will be included means we may be seeing a few familiar faces, such as Dr. Boom and his friends from previous expansions. Keep in mind that, since the start of the Year of the Mammoth, we’ve lost many staples of the Standard format, including Emperor Thaurissan, Sylvanas, Ragnaros and more. These cards will all be available for players to use, meaning we should be seeing an exciting tournament!
