Esports news Fighting PandaS
In brief:
Fighting Pandas is an American team that played on the Dota 2 competitive scene. Subsequently, the team was signed by the Croatian esports organization CR4ZY.
First appearance
Fighting Pandas, like most of these teams, appeared chaotically. The team included players, one way or another, rejected topics or other teams. The first roster of the team was announced by EternaLEnVy via his Twitter in August 2019. In addition to the already legendary Canadian, the roster includes: bryle, Sneyking, Aui_2000 and MoonMeander.
On paper, the squad looked quite promising, and some of the results could not be called completely disastrous.
Fighting Pandas results and transition to CR4ZY
The first tournament in which Fighting Pandas took part was Midas Mode 2 - America. There, the team performed under the tag Fighting Pepegas, referring to the famous Internet meme. At the tournament, the team took 3rd place, but the main snag was that there were 4 teams in total in the championship.
Further, Fighting Pandas had a series of good performances. They won the American qualifiers for ESL One Hamburg 2019 and qualifiers for the MDL Chengdu Major. However, the performances at the champions themselves were not very successful.
At ELS One Hamburg, EnVy finished 9-10th, but after that they managed to win a ticket to the World Electronic Sports Games by winning the Canadian qualifiers.
In November 2019, Fighting Pandas played at the first and only Major tournament for themselves. It turned out to be the same MDL Chengdu Major. Although the team took the 9th-12th place there, it can still be considered a decent result for a team assembled “on the knee”.
Later, EnVy and the company tried to break into DreamLeague Season 13 and WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020. In the qualifiers for the first championship, the team took the 3rd place, and in the qualifiers for the Bukovel Minor they took the second place. Nevertheless, this was enough to get to Bukovel.
At the end of 2019, Fighting Pandas won their first tournament. It was the World Electronic Sports Games 2019 North America Finals.
Period before CR4ZY
2020 began with a performance at WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020. There Fighting Pandas failed to pass the threshold of the group stage and were eliminated from the championship, taking 5-6th place. After the performance in Bukovel, the team was left by its creator EternaLEnVy, as well as Sneyking. They were replaced by Skiter and Khezu. With the renewed roster, Fighting Pandas competed in the qualifiers for ESL One Los Angeles 2020 North America, where they took 4th place, and later at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3, where they finished on the 2nd line.
After that, the team was signed by the Croatian organization CR4ZY.
CR4ZY and leaving the professional scene
In the CR4ZY camp, the former Fighting Pandas roster started playing in all kinds of online championships.
Until October 2020, the team was a regular guest at local American tournaments.
They finished 4th at BTS Pro Series: Americas, won OMG Cup 3, finished second at ESL One Birmingham 2020 - Online: North & South America, 4th at BTS Pro Series Season 2: Americas and OGA Dota PIT S2: Americas.
In August, the team took 2nd place at The Great American Rivalry Season 1 Division 1 and 5th place at ESL One Thailand 2020: Americas.
The last tournament in the short history of the Dota 2 division of the CR4ZY organization was BTS Pro Series Season 3: Americas. There the team took 2nd place.
Organization and awards
Having existed for less than a year, the Dota 2 division of CR4ZY has brought the organization over $ 82,000 in prize money. Acer was the title sponsor of the band .
