Biography Nix
Alexander «Nix» Levin is a professional Dota 2 player who plays in a carry position. Despite the relatively-recent beginning of his career, Nix has already appeared in a few prestigious organizations where he was demonstrating a high level of personal performance constantly.
The beginning of the career
Like the majority of esportsmen, Nix had started his road to the big stage way before the arrival to a professional organization. Since the early years, Alexander has been fond of video games. He was especially good in competitive disciplines. As a result, it helped him to build a pretty successful career.
The club Enso was the first club Nix was playing for. Nix joined the team in April 2016 but he left the roster of the organization in a month. Levin managed to play at Rumble Town and NVIDA Dota 2 CIS Cup Series Grand Final #5 for Enso.
The club Comanche was the next team for Nix. With it, Levin took part in more prestigious tournaments, such as ProDotA Cup Europe, WCA2016 EU, and Game Show Open Season 4. The team was able to win the championship at the last one, which brought Nix the first victory at a tournament in his career.
Nix became a player of M19 in March 2017.
M19 and the failed attempt to make it to The International
Having moved to M19, Nix with the team almost immediately won the open qualifiers for The International 2017. This allowed the team to get to the closed part of the qualifiers for the main tournament of the year. The closed group stage began perfectly: the team placed first in the group and advanced to the playoffs of the qualification. However, M19 was unlucky there and the team was eliminated from the qualifying championship, having held 4th place. The team tried to come back to the big stage later.
The team continued participating in low-level championships and leagues while playing in qualifiers for various tournaments. But the team faced failure everywhere: the team failed at StarLadder i-League Invitational #3: CIS Qualifier, PGL Open Bucharest 2017 CIS Qualifier, and ESL One Hamburg 2017: CIS Qualifier. Strangely enough, this did not destroy the team and they continued trying to reach the top. However, the dreams were broken by another failure: the elimination from the qualifiers for ESL One Katowice 2018 CIS Qualifier and The Bucharest Major CIS Qualifier was the final straw.
The player stopped being a part of M19 in February 2018.
Team Empire, ESPADA, and HellRaisers
Nix became a player of Team Empire in February 2017. That month, the team placed 5th-6th at StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 4 and DreamLeague Season 9. Despite the results being positive, they were not able to satisfy Alexander’s ambitions. Nix became a player of CoM18Anji in April but he left the roster a month later. ESPADA was the next club for Levin.
Nix joined ESPADA in May 2018. The player prevailed at Taurora Invitational #1 right after the transfer to the new team, after which he started taking part in various qualifiers. The first qualification was the qualifiers for The International 2018 where the team was one step away from a trip to the desired world championship, having lost to Winstrike in the final. The team continued playing at different tier 2-3 tournaments and participating in qualifiers later but it was not able to achieve significant results. Nix moved to HellRaisers in September 2019.
DOTA Summit 11 was the first tournament for HR where the team held third place, after which there was the second season of Parimatch League in November. HellRaisers placed second there.
The team held a 7th-8th place at WePlay! Pushka League S1: Division 1 in May 2020 and placed 7th-8th at ESL One Birmingham 2020 – Online: Europe & CIS a month later. The team held third place at Parimatch League Season 3 in July. The team finished 7th-8th at OMEGA League: Europe Divine Division in September 2020.
Nix has earned more than 34,000 dollars of prize money in his career.
