Biography Limmp
Linus "Limmp" Blomdin is a professional Dota 2 player of Swedish descent. Limmp is one of the very few players who have found themselves in both disciplines at the same time: Heroes of Newerth and Dota 2. Limmp managed to achieve high results in both games and continue playing on the highest level. We present to your attention Limmp’s road to becoming an esportsman.
The beginning of the career
Like the majority of esportsmen, Limmp’s career had started way before his arrival to a professional organization. Since his early years, Linus has spent a lot of time playing video games, which consequently allowed him to build a truly successful career.
The player started his path to the top of the esports Olympus from Heroes of Newerth. The player managed to achieve heights but, understanding that the discipline was coming to its end, Limmp moved to another more popular game, Dota 2.
The roster of stayGreen was the first team in the team game for Limmp. There, the esportsman spent a few months, having taken part in a couple of small tournaments.
The career «turbulence»
Limmp immediately joined the prestigious team in August 2014 – complexity Gaming. The first results for CoL were pretty mediocre: the player with the team placed third at Dota 2 Canada Cup – Season 3, second at Battle of America, and also the team participated in various qualifiers where it did not have outstanding results.
Limmp became a player of Ninjas in Pyjamas in February 2015. With NiP, results were better. Limmp with the team held the first place at Esportal Dota 2 League Invitational Tournament 3, the third place at Major All Stars Dota 2 Tournament, and also achieved victory at MLG Pro League Season 2 and Esports SM 2015.
Despite the pretty high results, the player left NiP in November and joined complexity Gaming again. This time, Limmp with CoL prevailed at Dota 2 Canada Cup – Season 6 and also placed 5th-6th at The Shanghai Major 2016. The player managed to take part in a few championships of the higher level but the team did not show the proper result there.
The failure at The International 2016 was the final of the second period in CoL. The team failed to qualify for the main part of the tournament then.
Limmp became a player of Alliance in September 2016.
The team held the 3rd place at World Electronic Sports Games 2016 in January 2017 and won The Final Match Season 1 6 months later. But after all, Limmp was not able to make it to The International.
The player moved to compLexity for the third time in September 2017. He continued participating in various championships with an unstable success. CompLexity was still unlucky at big tournaments. And once again, the player was not able to get to the desired TI.
In August 2019, Limmp left compLexity Gaming for the third time
The second transfer to Alliance
Limmp became a player of Alliance for the second time in September 2019. This time, the results were way better.
The team prevailed at DreamLeague Season 12 in October and placed 4th at ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore two months later.
The team finished 4th in the standings at DreamLeague Season 13 in January 2020. The team held the 2nd place at its last LAN tournament, which was StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor.
The team managed to make it to the second place in ESL One Birmingham 2020 – Online: Europe & CIS in June 2020. The team placed second at OGA Dota PIT S2: Europe/CIS in July and finished 4th at OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division and 3rd at OGA Dota PIT S3: Europe/CIS in September.
Limmp has already earned more than 317,000 dollars of prize money in his career.
