Prize pool for TI7 became the biggest one in the history of esports

The prize pool for The International 7 set a new record by becoming a tournament with the biggest pool in the history of esports.

The International 7 is the seventh international championship on Dota 2, organized by Valve, the developers of this game.

Notably, that the previous 3 records were also set by this annual event. In 2014, The International set its first record with $10,931,103 reward. In 2015, the prize pool for TI5 was $18,429,613, and for the first time in the history of esports, the prize pool exceeded $20,000,000.

We should also mention that Valve will keep increasing prize pool for this event for 1 more month.

The International 2017 managed to collect $20,770,460 for 88,5 days. TI6 collected ~$17,665,000 for the same period.
