Xtreme Gaming refused to participate in PGL Arlington Major 2022
/The Chinese team Xtreme Gaming refused to participate in the upcoming PGL Arlington Major 2022. Representatives of the organization reported this on social networks, noting that the reason for this decision was the non-issuance of a visa to lou's carry.
Unfortunately, despite our best efforts and attempts, lou was never able to get a visa. After much discussion within the team, given the current distribution of points and the factors of returning to China during the pandemic, we have decided to withdraw from the PGL Arlington Major 2022 and stay at home in order to focus on preparing for The International 2022 qualifier.
We are very sorry that we were not able to show our abilities on the Major stage and disappointed the fans who were looking forward to our performance. Thank you for your attention and support.
Since Xtreme Gaming has withdrawn from the Major, we will have to wait for an official decision from the championship organizers. It is likely that PGL will change the format of the event, since it will be extremely difficult to find an additional team a week before the start of PGL Arlington Major 2022.
It is unclear whether other Chinese teams, Royal Never Give Up and Team Aster, will be able to play in full lineups. In addition, the carry of the European team Entity, who has yet to undergo a second interview in the coming days, remains without a visa.
