A page in the Liquipedia database has information about the distribution of slots for participants. Earlier it became known that Yuragi and his teammates became the first participant in the upcoming $400,000 event. We talked about this yesterday. Direct invites will be awarded to six more participants of the tournament. The rest of the spots will be filled by teams that qualify through Europe, China, Southeast Asia, North America and South America.

ESL One Malaysia 2022 will take place from 23 to 28 August. The total prize fund of the championship will be $400,000, and 12 participants will be involved in its distribution. How exactly the fund will be distributed is currently unknown.

Teams will start their journey from the group stage. There they will be divided into two sextets. The playoffs, which will be held in the double-elimination bracket, will feature the top four teams from each group, while the two worst teams from Group A and Group B will complete the event. The teams that take the first two lines in the top six will advance to the upper bracket, while the participants located on the 3rd-4th lines will have to start the path to success in the lower bracket. The group stage, by the way, will be held in a round robin format, and the match format will be Bo2. The matches of the final stage will take place in a series of up to two victories, and the decisive match will be held in the Bo5 format.
