DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour 3 Div I: Team SMG failed to beat T1
Ihor MatusThe last match of today's gaming day as part of the Dota Pro Circuit SEA Season 2021/2022 Tour 3 Divison I has come to an end. T1 took on Team SMG in an intriguing showdown and emerged victorious.
The duel turned out to be full-fledged and took place on all three maps. In the first of them, SMGs began to impose a fight on their opponents, after which T1 began to resist well and even tipped the scales in their favor at a certain moment. After almost 15 minutes of good fighting, Team SMG began to gain some serious momentum, and MidOne with his Drow Ranger began to farm some good things. Kerry ended the fight with a 9-1-10 record and thus ensured a triumph for his team. After 33 minutes, Team SMG took the final victory on the first map.
T1 analyzed in the second map and, surprisingly, took the same Puck for Karl. This decision turned out to be very successful and Carl Baldovino gained excellent momentum and played with a score of 12-3-9. It is noteworthy that the second map became very hot and unpredictable for the fans of both participants of the meeting. Team SMG began to impose their game on the opponents and up until the 40th minute put serious pressure on them. However, one very successful fight from T1 helped to make a comeback with 11,000+ advantages and quickly push the throne to their enemies. The team acted so swiftly that they did not even break a single barrack during the whole game. Mid-laners Karl and Gabbi deserve special credit for their excellent performance on Terrorblade with a score of 13-1-12.
After such a battle, the teams moved on to the third map. There, T1, already charged with victory, approached the game with a more positive mood. SMG were also not going to give up without a fight, and the first 22 minutes played almost on an equal footing. After 20 minutes of T1 games, they switched to “cut and kill” tactics and did not let their opponents breathe. Repeated teamfights and a rapid lead allowed the Asians to break away by almost 20,000 net worth and completely break the top and middle lanes. SMG for the entire third map, in turn, broke only one tower in the middle and bottom lanes. If the first and second maps ended in 34 and 44 minutes, respectively, then the third became the fastest and already at the 28th minute T1 received the coveted “gg” from their opponents in the chat. The main striking force in the hands of the winners was the same Terrorblade in the hands of Gabbi as on the second map, however, Viper and Tiny were already in conjunction with him, finishing the meeting with the result of 9-1-11 and 11-0-13 respectively. Gabbi, like Karl, had no deaths and ended the match with a 7-0-13 record.
T1 are now tied for second place with the likes of Fnatic and RSG with two wins and one loss to their credit. Team SMG, in turn, share the 5th position with BOOM Esports and Nigma Galaxy SEA, having earned only 1 win and suffered 2 losses.
