Prediction on match CS2 Legacy - Lynn Vision
Legacy take on Lynn Vision in a best-of-three decider at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. Welcome to EGamersWorld, we continue to follow the action from Austin as the second Swiss stage reaches its tipping point. With both teams under pressure after shaky group play, this Bo3 will determine who survives and who exits early.
How the bookies view it: Lynn Vision favorite
Both teams are not stable contenders for dominance, but I see the Chinese as a more dangerous opponent. In the profile of this match on HLTV, I saw the odds from the bookmaker and there is an advantage on the side of Legacy, which is actually in our favor.
Bookmakers slightly favor Lynn Vision based on recent performance and world ranking. They sit at #17 globally compared to Legacy’s #21, and their 75.6% win rate over the past three months shows greater consistency. While it’s a close call, Lynn Vision’s recent run against stronger teams gives them the upper hand in the odds.
Legacy form. What result can be expected from Legacy
Of course, the Brazilians are the sensation of the whole Major. Let’s not forget they’re only here as a replacement for Bestia, the honorary Major participant who actually beat them in the qualifier but couldn’t make it to Austin. Legacy have made it through two Major stages, going 3-0 in the first, and stunned everyone at the start of Stage 3 with a shocking 13-3 Bo1 win over Vitality—pure hype! But that hype has cooled off, and now the Brazilians are on the brink of elimination, so it’s unwise to see them as an endless source of miracles.
So, Legacy come into this match after a string of mixed results. Their form at the Austin Major has been erratic, and their most recent meeting with Lynn Vision ended in a 7–13 loss. That said, they’ve shown flashes of structured T-sides and solid rifling performances from dumau and latto, even against top-tier opponents. The concern is closing power—they often fall apart in late rounds.

Legacy are currently lacking composure in pressure situations. Their early-game plans work well, but once utility and timings start stacking, they struggle to convert leads. They’ll need stronger CT setups and more impact from n1ssim if they want to control this Bo3.
Lynn Vision form. What result can be expected from Lynn Vision
The young Chinese squad is riding the aura bubble of this Major, and they impressed early in this stage by taking down Liquid, though it wasn’t a huge surprise. I was backing them and even recommended betting on their win, considering how shaky their Tier-1 opponent was. After that, they faced Spirit and The MongolZ, following a path similar to Legacy’s — one win followed by two losses. Still, they had tougher opponents and look slightly more stable than the Brazilians today, both statistically and in overall performance.
Lynn Vision has been playing at a higher level than Legacy this month, even if the scoreboard doesn’t always reflect it. They opened Stage 2 with a clean 13–5 over Liquid, then fell to Spirit and The MongolZ—both matches where they started strong but couldn’t maintain pace. Their Bo3 history at the Major is solid, with wins over B8, TYLOO, and NRG, and most of their victories have been dominant in aim duels and map control.

- Starry
- EmiliaQAQ
- C4LLM3SU3
The standout feature of Lynn Vision is their composure. Despite their youth, they play tight defaults and execute well on maps like Mirage and Ancient. EmiliaQAQ has been quietly putting up numbers, and Starry remains their most consistent performer on rifle roles. If they keep their spacing clean, Legacy will struggle to win duels.
Recent head to head: Lynn Vision edging it
These teams met less than two weeks ago at this very event. Lynn Vision won the Bo1 13–7, and the match wasn’t close after the opening few rounds. Legacy couldn’t deal with Lynn Vision’s fast mid control and tight site holds. That recent win, plus stronger form since IEM Dallas, gives Lynn Vision a clear edge in head-to-head momentum.
Players to watch: dumau and Starry
dumau remains Legacy’s most explosive weapon, and his early-round entry work can swing momentum fast. But on the other side, Starry has quietly outperformed most riflers at this level. He’s sharp on retakes and never loses focus in low-economy rounds. If dumau gets hot, Legacy can make this competitive, but Starry’s consistency makes him a safer bet to influence all three maps. And I also like how dumau shouts after winning rounds, he spammed it well against Vitality, and it seemed like this pressure was working, so if in the match against Lynn Vision, they get an early advantage, then I'll be happy to see how they celebrate.
Probable map picks
Since this is a Bo3, both teams will look to anchor around familiar maps. Legacy’s Mirage and Overpass have been staples lately, while Lynn Vision have enjoyed success on Ancient and Inferno. The veto will be important, but map control and early duels will matter more than raw map win rates.
Which maps does pick and ban most often Legacy?
Legacy typically ban Ancient and lean into maps like Mirage, Nuke, and Overpass. They try to avoid brawly maps and prefer structure-heavy setups. Their Nuke CT sides can be solid when dumau is on form, but their T-side depth has been exposed against top teams.
Which maps does pick and ban most often Lynn Vision?
Lynn Vision consistently ban Vertigo and look to play Ancient, Mirage, or Inferno. Their Ancient win over TYLOO and the clean Mirage against Liquid suggest they’re most comfortable on maps with tight chokepoints and heavy utility focus. Expect them to push the series toward Ancient or Inferno early in the veto.
Anything else catch the eye?
Legacy’s main issue is round discipline. Even with numbers, they often fail to play the clock properly. In contrast, Lynn Vision have been strong in 3v3 and 2v2 situations across the Austin Major 2025. Also worth noting is the coaching edge—GUM’s playbook seems more reactive and flexible than chucky’s, especially in mid-round calls. If Legacy can’t tighten their defensive coordination, Lynn Vision could walk through mid control all series long.
Predicted result of the match
I believe in the Chinese team, especially since it’s a Bo3, though they might even close it out 2-0.
Lynn Vision’s form, deeper map pool, and head-to-head edge make them the more reliable pick here. Legacy can take a map if dumau and latto carry hard, but it’s hard to see them winning two. Lynn Vision look more stable and confident in all recent Bo3s.
