Biography RpK
Cédric «RpK» Guipouy is one of the most experienced Counter-Strike gamers in the European region. The gamer of the French descent is one of the best representatives of the French CSGO school. In his long standing career, Cédric had a chance to play with numerous prestigious teams. Let us show you how RpK became an esportsman.
Counter-Strike: Source
As the majority of esportsmen, RpK had started his career long before he got to a professional club. Since his early childhood, Cédric has been showing his serious interest in computer games where he spent a lot of time. The gamer devoted a lot of time to Counter-Strike.
RpK started his career as a CS gamer in 2007 with the Source version. The gamer played for such teams as evidence, Zback, STUD, H2k Gaming, Epsilon eSports, Nameless, VeryGames, ROCCAT. The most successful Counter-Strike: Source team for RpK was VeryGames. In this organization, he won almost all most prestigious tournaments in Source. He became the champion of such tournaments like EPS France: Season VIII – Finals, DSRack LAN, EMS: Season VI, Multiplay Insomnia, DSRACK, and others. Cédric continued playing CS:Source till 2012.
In 2012, Valve released a new game – Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. All professional gamers started to move to GO, and RpK was not an exception.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
The first club for RpK in the new version of CS was VeryGames. Unfortunately, their results in GO were not so considerable, so the team got disassembled in January 2013.
The next stop for RpK was Titan. This was the club that made the gamer popular.
Being a member of Titan Esports, RpK took part in his first world championship – ESL One: Katowice 2015. However, the team failed their performance there taking thirteenth-sixteenth place. It did not break the roster of the team down and they kept on playing together.
In March 2015, the team took fourth place at StarLadder StarSeries XII, and in April the gamers took second place at ESL Pro League 1. The team continued demonstrating mediocre results at major championships but was constantly failing the world championships. That was what happened at ESL One: Cologne 2015 where RpK and his teams again took 13-16 place. The team tried to rehabilitate again but it did not result in success.
In October 2015, the team took 9-12 place at DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015, after that the team got disassembled three months later.
The next stop for RpK was G2 Esports.
RpK became a G2 gamer in February 2016. In May, the team was the second to finish at ESL Pro League Season 3 – Finals. And one month later, RpK together with G2 became the champion at Esports Championship Series Season 1 – Finals. But, frankly speaking, Major tournaments were also unlucky for the team.
G2 took 9-12 place at MLG Major Championship: Columbus 2016 and 13-16 place at ESL One: Cologne 2016. The team took another shot in January 2017 at ELEAGUE Major: Atlanta 2017, but the gamers failed and took 12-14 place.
RpK left G2 in February 2017.
The next club for Cédric was the organization Team Enve. There the gamer played from February 2017 till June 2018. As a member of Envy, RpK took first place at DreamHack Open Atlanta 2017 but again failed at the Major championship when the gamers took 19-21 place at ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018. RpK left Envy in June 2018.
Team Vitality and Individual Achievements
RpK became a Vitality gamer in October 2018. One month later, he won the first championship in the new team. It was DreamHack Open Atlanta 2018. In November 2019, Vitality won Charleroi Esports 2019 and one month later the team got victorious at cs_summit 4. In June 2019, the team became the champion at Esports Championship Series Season 7 – Finals.
