Owen «oBo» Schlatter is a prodigy of the American Counter-Strike:Global Offensive stage. When he was 17, oBo was playing for one of the most famous prestigious organizations in the region. In his young age the gamer proved everybody that he was able not only to compete on the high level, but also to win there. Let us show us the development of oBo as an esportsman.
Beginning of Career
As the majority of other esportsmen, oBo started his way to the big stage long before getting to a professional organization. Since his early childhood, he got interested in computer games that, consequently, helped him to build a successful career.
The first team for oBo was the team Adaption. With Adaption, the gamer tried his luck at all possible qualifiers for big tournaments but all of them were failed. The most considerable result was second place at the local championship ESEA Season 25: Main Division – North America.
After leaving Adaption, the gamer continued polishing his skills taking part in various online leagues. He became the champion at monthly FACEIT Pro League Challenger – North America: April 2018 which helped him to start shining among gamers in the region. Apart from participation in solo-leagues, the gamer continued looking for a suitable team.
He played for Guerrila Tactics in 2017. In January 2019, he moved to FeelsUnderAgeMan. After this, he continued to play in solo-leagues for a whole year and improve his skills. In May 2019, the gamer moved to Old Guys Club but left the team one month later.
In June 2019, oBo got invited to Complexity Gaming.
Complexity Gaming and Individual Achievements
Having become a Complexity gamer, oBo debuted at Esports Championship Series Season 7 – Finals where the team took 5-6 place. Then there was a period of trying to find the right game together and later the team performed at BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 Regular Season. There the team took 4-6 place. Gradually, Complexity became a Tier-1 team.
In February 2020, the team took part in DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020 where he took 3-4 place. This first big victory for oBo happened when esports switched online. In May 2020, the team won three #HomeSweetHome tournaments and a month later the roster won another championship at BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals.
In August 2020, the team took 3-4 place at DreamHack Open Summer 2020: Europe and 5-8 place at ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online – Europe. In September, the gamer left the roster of Complexity and returned to play in North America.
In his career, oBo has already earned over 131,000 dollars.
