On the eve of the European RMR qualifiers, the brother of FaZe Clan player Finn "karrigan" Andersen passed away.

On November 19, 2024, karrigan tweeted about losing a close family member just days before the European RMR qualifiers for the PW Shanghai Major 2024 in Counter-Strike 2. He shared how difficult it was to cope with the loss during the stressful moments of the tournament.

“I miss him so much, and it’s hard to believe he is not around anymore. I know he is in a good and peaceful place now. RIP Big brother.”

The player took a short break to recover and attend his brother’s funeral. Despite this, karrigan confirmed in his tweet that he plans to compete in the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, the year’s biggest tournament. He mentioned that his brother would have wanted him to persevere and play with all his heart. The PW Shanghai Major 2024 begins in just two days, on November 30.

“I know he would want me to push through to go to the Major and play my heart out, and I will do that.”

Other players — ropz, iM-, TAZ, olofmeister, HeavyGod, nitr0 — expressed their condolences on comments.
