In accordance with the set of rules for holding majors in CS:GO, two RMR tournaments will be held in the united Europe/CIS region on the eve of PGL Major Antwerp 2022. At the same time, direct tickets to PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR will be received by teams that participated in the Legends stage of the previous PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

The rules say that the teams will take part in the next RMR cycle based on the rating they won at the last major. At the same time, the organizers undertake to divide the teams into as many groups as necessary, so that each group has no more than eight invited teams. As a result, tournament operators must use a format that matches the total number of invites.

In this case, 13 direct invites were allocated for Europe at once, which implies the use of the Swiss system for qualifying RMR tournaments. To ensure that the groups are as similar as possible to each other in strength, the highest and lowest ranked teams are paired up and placed in the same group, a process that continues for each successive group.

For example, when distributing participants to PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR A and PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR B, the following division system is used: seeded numbers "1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13" play " A", while the seeded 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 will compete in B.

Thus, the following teams will take part in the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR A: Natus Vincere, Heroic, Virtus.pro, Team Vitality, Copenhagen Flames, Astralis and ENCE + nine teams from the qualifiers.

Distribution of places according to the results of RMR A:

  • 1st-4th place: Legends.
  • 5th-6th place: Challengers.
  • 7th-8th place: Contenders.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR B will feature: G2 Esports, Gambit Esports, Ninjas In Pajamas, Entropiq, FaZe Clan and MOUZ + ten teams from the qualifiers.

Distribution of places according to the results of RMR B:
