Games Clash Arena 2020

The general information

Games Clash Arena 2020 will be hosted in Poland on June 5-7. Gliwice will be the city, in which the event will take place, and a particular venue is unknown. The sum of the overall prize pool is revealed now. It will amount one hundred thousand dollars. Eight participants will divide it. Six of which will receive direct invitations and two other teams will make it through preliminary qualifiers.

The format

There is no official information about the format of Games Clash Arena 2020 but it will be logical to suppose that it will repeat its predecessor Games Clash Masters 2019. In such a case, eight teams will be divided into two groups with four teams in each one. Bo1 and Bo3 matches will be played in every quartet. The first matches and the winner’s matches will be carried out in a bo1 format and the rest of the matches will be held in a bo3 format. The top two participants of each group will proceed to the playoffs with a single-elimination bracket.

There will be only three matches in the playoffs: two semi-finals and the grand final. The first two matches will be hosted in a bo3 format, while the final battle will be carried out in a bo5 series.

The prize pool

The organizers have announced the details of how the overall prize pool of $100,000 will be distributed among eight participants:

The distribution of grabs will look in the following way:

• 2nd place: $20,000
• 3rd-4th place: $10,000
• 3rd-4th place: $10,000
• 5th-6th place: $3,000
• 5th-6th place: $3,000
• 7th-8th place: $2,000
• 7th-8th place: $2,000
