Valorant Patch 10.05: Updated Meta and Agent Tier List

The release of Patch 10.04 introduced a new agent, Waylay, along with an updated map pool, which has influenced the current agent tier list in Valorant. In this article, we will categorize all agents based on their strength in ranked play. However, remember that even the seemingly weakest agent can be powerful in the right hands.

Valorant Agent Tier List in Patch 10.05

With the arrival of Tejo, this agent has become a frequent pick in matches, and for good reason. Tejo is strong, especially when compared to KAY/O or Fade, as he can create more impact and fits universally on any map. Waylay currently seems unusual—highly mobile, yet difficult to play solo without teammate support. In contrast, Yoru appears significantly stronger and more useful. Clove, on the other hand, is strong, versatile on any map, and easy to use, making her ideal for matchmaking.
- S Tier: Yoru, Tejo, Sova, Clove
- A Tier: Omen, ISO, Jett, Raze, Astra, Cypher, Killjoy, Deadlock, Vyse
- B Tier: Sage, Viper, Neon, Gekko, Reyna, Phoenix
- C Tier: Waylay, Brimstone, Breach, Chamber, Skye, Fade
- D Tier: KAY/O, Harbor
Duelist Tier List in Valorant Patch 10.05

- S Tier: Yoru
- A Tier: ISO, Jett, Raze
- B Tier: Neon, Reyna, Phoenix
- C Tier: Waylay
- D Tier: —
Yoru is an undisputed S-tier agent. The current map pool favors him greatly. ISO has become stronger after recent changes, making his abilities more effective, while his signature ability still frustrates opponents. Jett and Raze remain strong, just as in previous patches. Reyna is deadly in the hands of a skilled player, but when facing opponents of equal skill, she tends to fall behind other agents. As for Waylay, while highly mobile, she is difficult to utilize effectively unless teammates actively support her and coordinate abilities.
Sentinel Tier List in Valorant Patch 10.05

- S Tier: —
- A Tier: Cypher, Killjoy, Deadlock, Vyse
- B Tier: Sage
- C Tier: Chamber
- D Tier: —
Cypher and Killjoy continue to be among the strongest and most versatile Sentinels in the game. Deadlock has benefited from recent changes, making her more effective in attack and more active in defense. Vyse can be a strong pick in skilled hands, with her roots being extremely useful when taking bomb sites. Sage fits well into the current map pool but often doesn't find a place in team compositions. Chamber, while strong in the right hands, remains questionable in the current meta, making other Sentinels preferable choices.
Initiator Tier List in Valorant Patch 10.05

- S Tier: Tejo, Sova
- A Tier: —
- B Tier: Gekko
- C Tier: Breach, Skye, Fade
- D Tier: KAY/O
Tejo and Sova are undoubtedly the strongest initiators at the moment. Because of this, other initiators struggle to find a place in compositions since this duo performs exceptionally well together. However, if we disregard Tejo's presence, other initiators also have their strengths. For example, Breach is particularly effective on Fracture. The main exception is KAY/O, who requires extensive experience and lineup knowledge to make a significant impact, unlike agents like Skye or Tejo, who are easier to use effectively.
Controller (Smoker) Tier List in Valorant Patch 10.05

- S Tier: Clove
- A Tier: Omen, Astra
- B Tier: Viper
- C Tier: Brimstone
- D Tier: Harbor
Clove, Omen, and Astra are incredibly strong. Astra has highly valuable abilities for both attack and defense. Omen remains a great pick in skilled hands and is still the only controller with a flash. Viper is still strong on Icebox, but on other maps, there are often better choices. Harbor remains weak and is only somewhat viable on Pearl, but with Astra available, there is little reason to pick him.
