In this article we will talk about the ranking system in Tekken 7: we will tell you how everything works, as well as present the full list of ranks in the game.
How the rating system works in Tekken 7
In Tekken 7, players are awarded two separate ranks: one for the single-player campaign, based on success in the story mode, treasure battle, and arcade. You start at 1st Kyu, and with each victory your rank increases until you get to 1st dan. From here, the only way to increase your rank is to play in Treasure Battle mode, and eventually you'll be able to reach Tekken God's prime rank. However, there isn't much use from ranking up in this mode, and your ranking doesn't extend to online play.
As such, the game operates a two-tier ranking system that also functions in online battles. Tekken 7 uses a point system for online ranking, and when players battle opponents, they earn or lose points depending on the outcome of the battle.
The number of points a player earns and loses depends on the opponent's rank. Once you earn enough points, you will enter a promotional match, which if you win will increase your ranking,. Alternatively, if you lose enough points, you'll need to win a relegation match to avoid being downgraded.

List of ranks in Tekken 7
There are a total of 37 ranks in the game, divided into ten levels.
Silver Level
This is the starting point for all players, and will consist of beginners who are learning the basics of the game and figuring out what character they want to play.
Ranks are 1st dan, 2nd dan, and 3rd dan.
Blue Tier
This is where you'll find players who have one or two favourite characters, but are still honing their play style and learning techniques. There are many casual players who play for fun, not to increase their rank at this level.
Rank: Dedicated, Mentor, Expert, Grand Master.
Green Level
Here you will find experienced fighters who have settled on their battle tactics and their favourites among the characters. At this level you can find the first interesting combinations from your opponents.
Rank: Brawler, Marauder, Fighter, Vanguard.
Yellow Level
At this level you will see players mastering their characters and advanced aspects of gameplay. You could say that the first difficulties begin at this level.
Ranks: Warrior, Revenant, Juggernaut, Usurper.
Orange Level
On the orange level, you need to start further learning techniques and combinations. This is where you encounter opponents who are very familiar with the game.
Rank: Conqueror, Destroyer, Saviour, Overlord.
Red Level
Red level players are experienced and are entering the early stages of a high-level game, so they will naturally be strong and have a deep knowledge of their character and the game itself. This is the beginning of the hardest climb in the rankings.
Rank: Genbu, Byakko, Seiryu, Suzaku.
Ruler Level
Players at this level aren't too different from red level players, but they have a lot more experience and knowledge. Here you will see opponents who are experts in the game and can punish any mistake or misstep.
Rank: Mighty Ruler, Honourable Ruler, Divine Ruler, Eternal Ruler.
Blue Level
This is definitely the level where you'll find the toughest battles and probably the hardest to get out of, as players here are striving for the top and are on the verge of gaining elite status.
Ranks: Fujin, Raijin, Yaksa, Ryujin.
Purple Level
This level is full of opponents who know the game "from" and "to". Expect to see budding professionals and content creators here who want to, or already have, turned Tekken into more than just a hobby.
Rank: Emperor, Tekken King.
Level God
Few can attain this rank, and those few who do are true masters of the Tekken game. These players have played hundreds of hours at a high level, know almost everything about the game, and are part of a small group of the most elite players in the world. Players of this rank are often professional players seen at major tournaments.
Rank: Tekken God, True Tekken God, Tekken God Prime, Tekken God Omega.
In ranked matches, the player's chosen character will be the only one whose rank will be ranked, and if you wish to rank up other characters, you will need to play them in separate sessions to increase their own rank. However, your roster will automatically level up after completing certain stages with your main character, meaning you don't have to re-rank the entire rank ladder from the beginning.
