Riot Games Reveals VCT 2026 Team Capsules

On January 6, 2026, Riot Games revealed the new Team Capsules for the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2026 season. These are sets of in-game items available to all partner teams in the EMEA, Americas, Pacific, and China regions. The capsules are now more visually appealing and more interesting for players and fans alike.
Each capsule includes an updated Classic skin with new visual effects, an animated player card, an achievement tracker inspect, a team spray, and a team Gun Buddy. Riot Games focused not only on cosmetics but also on highlighting the status of each team in the competitive scene.
NRG Capsule and Champion Exclusives
A special highlight this year is the NRG capsule. After winning VALORANT Champions 2025, the team received a unique set of Champions items created just for them. These items make NRG stand out from other teams and celebrate their major achievement.
Additionally, Riot introduced the Winner’s Flair — a special design element given to teams that have previously won major tournaments. This makes the capsules more than just a bundle of items; they become a symbol of a team and its victories.
New Teams and Their Capsules
Not all new teams have received capsules yet. The 2025 VCT Americas Ascension winner ENVY, EMEA’s PCIFIC Esports and ULF Esports, and Pacific’s VARREL are still waiting for their sets. Riot Games hasn’t announced when these teams will get their capsules, but usually, it’s only a matter of time.
Money for Teams and Why Sales Matter
Selling Team Capsules also brings real money to the teams. In 2025, Riot shared around $100 million with VCT teams. For comparison, in 2024 this number was just over $44 million.
Half of the net profits from capsule sales are distributed among all partner teams. This helps keep the league stable and gives smaller teams the opportunity to grow and compete in major tournaments.

For players and fans, Team Capsules are a way to support their favorite teams, not just buy cosmetics. They let fans show loyalty and also help grow the VALORANT esports scene.
VCT 2026 Team Capsules go on sale January 13. The standard capsule costs 2,320 VP, while players who bought capsules in 2024 or 2025 can get a discounted price of 1,650 VP.
