PGL Wallachia Season 2 – General Info About The Tournament in 2024

PGL Wallachia 2024 Season 2 is one of the most anticipated Dota 2 tournaments of the year, taking place in Bucharest, Romania, at PGL Studio. The tournament will feature 16 teams from around the world competing for a prize pool of $1,000,000. The event kicks off on October 4, 2024, with the finals scheduled for October 13, 2024.

Tournament Format

The tournament will be divided into two stages:

Group Stage:

  • Dates: October 4-9, 2024
  • Format: Swiss system, with all matches played in a Best of 3 (Bo3) format. The top eight teams will advance to the playoffs, while the others will be eliminated.

Playoffs:

  • Dates: October 10-13, 2024
  • Format: Double elimination. All matches except for the finals will be played in a Best of 3 (Bo3) format, while the grand final will be played in a Best of 5 (Bo5) format.

Prize Pool

The total prize pool for the tournament is $1,000,000 and will be distributed as follows:

  • 1st Place: $300,000
  • 2nd Place: $175,000
  • 3rd Place: $120,000
  • 4th Place: $80,000
  • 5th-6th Places: $60,000
  • 7th-8th Places: $40,000
  • 9th-11th Places: $20,000
  • 12th-14th Places: $15,000
  • 15th-16th Places: $10,000

The tournament operator PGL has announced plans to organize at least eight major championships for Dota 2. Wallachia Season 2 is the second championship in the series, which will take place in Bucharest, Romania. The participants of the tournament will compete for a total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD.
