New Valorant Agent Miks Details – Abilities, Role, Release Date

Riot Games has officially announced Miks, a Croatian agent whose entire kit revolves around sound and music. The reveal took place during the VALORANT Masters Santiago Grand Final on March 15, 2026, immediately showcasing that Miks is not just another controller with standard smoke abilities.

Miks is the 30th agent in Valorant’s roster and marks a milestone as the first support-focused character capable of healing allies mid-fight. His unique toolkit brings both utility and team amplification to the forefront, making him a dynamic pick for socially motivated players who thrive on helping their teammates shine.

Waveform (E – Signature Ability)

Miks retains the classic smoke utility with his Waveform ability. Players place the smoke across the map using a tablet-style targeting UI, similar to Brimstone or Omen. These smokes are hollow inside, last 16 seconds, and can be positioned at longer ranges than typical controllers, allowing Miks to control key sightlines and create space for his team.

Waveform gives Miks the flexibility to combine classic control gameplay with his more unique sound-based utilities.

M-pulse (C – Ability)

Miks’s signature M-Pulse device, called Impulse, is the first ability to really emphasize his support role. It comes with two modes, toggleable with alt-fire or right-click:

  • Concussive Pulse: Stuns and disorients enemies with sound waves.
  • Healing Pulse: Restores health to allies within range, potentially even through walls.

This dual-function mechanic allows Miks to adapt to both offensive and defensive situations, helping teammates survive or disrupting enemy pushes.

Harmonize (Q – Ability)

The Harmonize ability grants a combat stim to a targeted ally, boosting:

  • Movement speed
  • Fire rate
  • Weapon handling (equip and reload speed increased by ~10%)

The stim lasts about 8 seconds and refreshes whenever the buffed teammate gets a kill, emphasizing Miks’s role as a team amplifier. Using Harmonize on himself provides the buffs as well, but only teammates can extend the duration.

Kevin Meier, a Valorant game designer, describes Miks as built for the socially motivated player — someone who enjoys supporting their team and making an impact beyond mechanical skill.

Bassquake (Ultimate – X)

Miks’s ultimate, Bassquake, unleashes a massive forward shockwave that:

  • Deafens enemies, preventing them from hearing footsteps or abilities
  • Knocks back enemies, displacing them from cover
  • Slows movement speed, making retreat or repositioning difficult

This ultimate is perfect for initiating fights or turning the tide, giving Miks’s team control over chaotic engagements.

Design and Thematic Elements

Miks’s character design is deeply musical, featuring wave patterns on his suit and festival-style wristbands. The reveal trailer is accompanied by a remix of Zedd’s classic track Clarity (Valorant x BUNT. Remix), highlighting the agent’s thematic focus on rhythm and sound.

According to Riot, Miks is designed to provide meaningful influence in fights beyond pure gameplay mechanics, rewarding players who coordinate with teammates and support them actively.

New Valorant Agent Miks Details – Abilities, Role, Release Date 1

Miks will officially launch on March 18, 2026, alongside Season 2026 Act 2, the new Knockout mode, the Blackthorn collection, and Patch 12.5, which introduces nerfs for Yoru and Clove, including changes to Gatecrash duration, flash charges, death smokes, and Meddle. His arrival adds a fresh support dimension to Valorant, blending utility, team amplification, and crowd control into a single, music-themed agent.

Playstyle Tips

Use Waveform to block sightlines and control space, while deploying Impulse strategically to heal teammates or stun enemies. Harmonize can amplify your allies performance, especially during team fights, and Bassquake is effective for disrupting enemy formations, securing objectives, or forcing enemies to reposition. Miks’s kit rewards players who think about team synergy and timing, making him a standout addition for those who enjoy playing a supportive yet impactful role.
