LEC Summer 2025 Season Viewer Guide: Dates, Schedule, Format, Participants

The LEC Summer 2025 is about to begin, bringing together the strongest teams in Europe for another intense split. The competition will be divided into several stages, with teams battling for a coveted spot at Worlds 2025. Below, you’ll find all the key information about the Summer Split to help you follow the tournament with ease.
LEC Summer 2025 Format and Dates
LEC Summer 2025 will take place from August 2 to September 28, 2025. The tournament will feature a total of 10 teams and will be divided into two stages.
The first stage — the Group Stage — will run from August 2 to 26, 2025. The format is as follows: 10 teams are split into 2 groups of 5. Each team will play 4 matches in a Bo3 format using the Fearless Draft — a rule that prevents teams from picking champions that were already used in the previous game of the series. The group stage follows a Single Round Robin format, where each team faces every other team in their group once. The top 4 teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs: the top 2 teams will be seeded into the upper bracket, while the 3rd and 4th place teams will enter the lower bracket.
After the group stage comes the Playoffs. This phase features the top 4 teams from each group in a Double Elimination bracket, with both upper and lower brackets. All matches will be played in a Bo5 format using the Fearless Draft, where champions used in previous games of the series cannot be picked again.
LEC Summer 2025 Teams
The LEC Summer 2025 season will feature the 10 strongest teams from the European region, but only three of them will earn a spot at the World Championship 2025.
Participating teams:
- Fnatic

- GIANTX
- Karmine Corp
- MKOI
- Natus Vincere
- SK Gaming

Let’s take a closer look at the teams in each group and their rosters for this tournament. Some teams have made roster changes, and we also have a brand-new participant joining the LEC this split.

Many analysts believe that Group B is significantly weaker than Group A, and that several teams were hoping to land in the same group as SK Gaming. And there’s some truth to that — SK have finished in 9th place for two consecutive splits, only outperforming the disbanding Rogue roster, whose spot is now taken by Natus Vincere, featuring several former Rogue players.

And right on the first day, we’re in for a thrilling matchup: Natus Vincere vs Karmine Corp. This match is especially important for NaVi, as a win here could say a lot about their current form going into the split.
What to Expect from the LEC Summer 2025?

When it comes to expectations for LEC Summer 2025, three clear favorites emerge: G2 Esports, Karmine Corp, and MKOI. Karmine Corp and MKOI are the winners of the last two splits, while G2 Esports finished second in both Winter and Spring. Their recent 4th place finish at the Esports World Cup also adds weight to their claim in the race for the top.
Natus Vincere are another team to keep a close eye on. According to insider reports, they’re already performing at a higher level than Rogue did during the Spring Split. NaVi have the potential to challenge the top teams and could become one of the breakout surprises of the season. The roster has adapted quickly and looks ready to deliver results. That’s why Natus Vincere could very well contend for a spot at the World Championship 2025 — the biggest tournament of the year.
And let’s not forget about Fnatic — a team that consistently performs well in the group stage but always falls just short of the finals. If they used the break between splits to work on their mistakes, they could emerge as serious contenders for a ticket to the most important tournament of the year.
