LEC Spring 2025: Week 6 Review and Week 7 Preview

The final week of the LEC Spring 2025 Regular Season is about to begin, and we’re just moments away from finding out which teams will make it to the playoffs. Only 6 matches remain, and they will determine the fate of every team in this tournament. For some teams, a playoff spot is almost secured, while for others, this is their last chance to qualify for the main stage and fight for the championship title. In this blog, I’ll walk you through the upcoming matches of Week 7 of the LEC Spring 2025 Regular Season, as well as recap the results and highlight the key moments from Week 6.

Week Seven: LEC Spring 2025 Schedule

LEC Spring 2025

The third week of the Regular Season will take place from May 10 to May 12, featuring a total of 6 matches.

And here is the LEC Spring 2025 – Week 7 Schedule:

DateMatch
May 10G2 Esports vs SK Gaming
May 10Karmine Corp vs Team Vitality
May 11Team Vitality vs SK Gaming
May 11Karmine Corp vs G2 Esports
May 12Team Heretics vs GIANTX
May 12MKOI vs Rogue

The final week promises to be the most intense and thrilling yet. Let’s quickly recap how the group stage is structured. The LEC Spring 2025 Regular Season follows a Single Round Robin format: all 10 teams face each other once, giving each team a total of 9 matches. The final standings are determined by overall performance — both match wins and individual map victories count. Every match is played as a best-of-three (Bo3) under Fearless Draft rules. Only the top six teams advance to the playoffs to compete for the Spring Split championship title.

Matches You Shouldn't Miss

The final week is here, and soon we’ll find out who truly deserves to fight for the LEC Spring 2025 championship title. Will Karmine Corp manage to defend their crown, or will they be dethroned? Several teams still have a real shot at making it happen. Fnatic have been a serious contender this year, delivering strong performances both in the Spring Split and the previous Winter Split. G2 Esports, despite struggling in the Spring Split so far, are never a team you can count out. And MKOI have also proven they’re worthy of battling for the title in the finals.

But first, let’s break down which matches you absolutely shouldn’t miss this week.

Let’s start by highlighting Karmine Corp and G2 Esports — their matches are always worth watching, both for the entertainment and for the strategic insights they offer. And if it’s a showdown between Karmine Corp and G2 Esports, then it’s a must-watch, no questions asked. Luckily, we’ll get to witness this clash on Day 2 of Week 7 of the Regular Season. For Karmine Corp, this match doesn’t carry too much weight, as they’re already one foot into the playoffs. But for G2 Esports, things are much more complicated. They can’t afford to drop games, because other teams are still in the race and could overtake them in the standings.

With that in mind, keep an eye on Team Vitality’s matches as well — they still have a shot at making the playoffs. This week, they’re up against a powerhouse in Karmine Corp right away, but that just makes it an even bigger opportunity for them to step up and prove what they’re capable of.

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend skipping a single match of the final week. For every team, this could be their last chance to stay in the fight. So be sure to mark the schedule and don’t miss your favorite team’s games!

LEC Spring 2025 Week 6 Results

LEC Spring 2025

Week 6 delivered some impressive matches for fans in terms of execution, but unfortunately without much intrigue, upsets, or unexpected twists. Every team played exactly as expected against their opponents, making the outcomes fairly predictable — unlike the surprises of the previous week.

Still, one match stood out: GIANTX vs Team BDS. GIANTX absolutely crushed their opponents with a dominant 2-0 victory, officially ending Team BDS’s hopes of making it to the playoffs. But GIANTX themselves have just one match left — against Team Heretics. If they win, and if the teams above them in the standings drop their matches, GIANTX could still clinch a playoff spot. And honestly, those chances are pretty solid, so I’ll be keeping a close eye on that GIANTX vs Team Heretics match — it’s shaping up to be a must-watch showdown.

After Week 6, the standings shifted slightly. Fnatic climbed into first place, pushing Karmine Corp down to second. MKOI are holding steady in third place, and after Week 7, they have every chance to stay there — or even move up to second.

G2 Esports managed to secure fourth place, but whether they can hold onto it is another question, as their matches in Week 7 won’t be easy. Right behind them are Team Heretics in fifth. Team Vitality sit in sixth, but like G2, they’re facing a tough week that could either boost them higher or knock them out of playoff contention altogether.

In seventh place, GIANTX are hanging by a thread, with the final week set to decide their fate. Unfortunately, it’s not entirely in their hands — the results of other teams will also play a crucial role. Team BDS, now in eighth place, have already missed their chance to qualify. Meanwhile, SK Gaming and Rogue occupy ninth and tenth; SK Gaming technically still have matches to play this week, but their chances are so slim they’re practically nonexistent. Rogue are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.
