Gambling on Twitch, YouTube and co. - the best-known streamers
Bogdan LashchenkoThe entertainment industry has changed significantly, with streams on YouTube and Twitch taking centre stage. One particular niche is gambling. More and more streamers are showing themselves trying their luckin online casinos with games such as Reactoonz online slot. They let their viewers share in their good and bad luck and invest money specifically to create excitement. "Knossi" is considered the legend among gambling streamers, but there are also numerous relevant names outside of this greatness.
MontanaBlack - the giant among casino streamers
"Monte" is a veteran among German streamers and has worked his way up to become a millionaire in just a few years. He experienced a real boost in popularity thanks to his casino streams, which he showed for a long time on the Twitch platform. However, due to changes in the guidelines, these shows were banned, which caused him a lot of trouble. He planned to emigrate at short notice in order to continue streaming in this sector from Malta. He has since cancelled his plans and turned his back on gambling streams. However, many of his followers are still convinced that he will return and try his luck on alternative platforms such as "Kick".
TrainwrecksTV - US streamer with great success
His fans know him as "Ape", his real name is Tyler Niknam. In 2015, he stirred up the Twitch scene and started very successfully with gambling streams. After discovering his fondness for a cryptocasino, the new guidelines on Twitch proved to be his undoing. Born in 1990, the Canadian switched to the alternative service "Kick" and was able to generate 43,000 followers within a very short space of time. He is still active on Twitch and plays games such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Among Us. The largest international streaming platform has so far brought him more than 2.1 million followers who watch him regularly.
Ron Bielecki - the streamer with the high penalties
Born in Berlin, Ron Bielecki originally became known as a lifestyle YouTuber and later discovered his love of slots. Numerous of his streams on YouTube and Twitch took viewers on a journey into the world of gambling. With around 130,000 followers, he is not one of the biggest numbers, but has already been able to secure additional income as an advertising partner for some well-known providers.
The streamer's penchant for illegal gambling became problematic. In Germany, only providers with a German licence are permitted. Bielecki disregarded these rules and had to pay a fine of 480,000 euros. The amount of the fine was determined not least by his own statements. After he repeatedly claimed to generate income of 120,000 euros per month, the court decided in favour of a daily rate of 4,000 euros. As the streamer has lodged an appeal against the decision, a possible court hearing has not been ruled out.
CasinoDaddy - the trio from Sweden
Eric, Matias and Anton Joelsson are the brains behind the Twitch account "CasinoDaddy" and regularly show gambling streams here. They sometimes play together, but often only one of the brothers streams. Thanks to their different personalities, they have built up a diverse fanbase and can now also be seen on "Kick". Unlike many of their competitors, however, the three Swedes have remained on Twitch, which has generated a huge increase in viewers. The three streamers were consistently top-ranked in the slots category and have focussed almost exclusively on gambling.
ClassyBeef - an association of several streamers from Malta
Seven different gamblers run the ClassyBeef channel, which exclusively shows gambling on Twitch. The growth in the first few years was immense, with an average of 20,000 viewers now watching the slot game. Gambling often takes place in groups, but sometimes only one or two gamblers can be seen. The total number of followers amounts to more than 270,000 international viewers, some of whom come from Germany. It is striking that the dynamic group of men has only been around since 2019, but has already overtaken many smaller casino streamers since then.
The supposed fake - Roshtein is often criticised
His real name is Ismael Schwartz, but to his fans he is just Roshtein. More than 1.1 million people follow the Swede, who lives in Malta, on Twitch, while his community on Kick is around 175,000 strong. The number of views per stream is in the five-digit range, allowing the Swede to operate on an international stage. He changes his partnerships regularly and has had to remove banned casinos from his programme in the past.
Viewers repeatedly accuse him of playing "fake games", while others clearly disagree. The Swede has been criticised for his sometimes aggressive advertising for individual gambling portals, but he is now said to have "improved" in this respect.
What is striking and exciting about his streams are the gigantic stakes he gambles with. His player accounts often have balances of more than half a million euros, which is criticised by his viewers. Roshtein himself claims to generate his capital through advertising and sponsorship partnerships, but this cannot be verified.
Corinna Kopf - female power in the casino segment
Most fans only know her as the "Pouty Girl" and she is one of the few women who feels at home in virtual gambling. The Illinois-born gambler has accounts on Twitch and Kick. The streaming platform from Amazon has earned her more than one million followers, while she has a community of almost 100,000 fans on Kick. Her fortune to date is estimated at 15 million US dollars, which is significant considering her short career of just a few years.
After initially playing games such as League of Legends and Fortnite, she quickly switched to the casino segment. She was particularly active in Stake, a cryptocasino that is no longer allowed on Twitch. As a result, Corinna shifted her streaming activities to Kick and picked up numerous followers.
Conclusion: Casino streaming conquers the platforms
Thrills, luck and bitter losses - gambling streams regularly send emotions on a rollercoaster ride. The streaming platform was criticised for a long time and a strict ban on streams was called for. Twitch actually reacted and banned streamers from gambling with unauthorised providers (without a licence in the respective country). Due to the different guidelines in different countries, it is possible that streams are no longer permitted everywhere. The platform Kick is currently considered the most noteworthy alternative; the guidelines on YouTube are similarly strict to those on Twitch.
