BLAST Premier World Final 2022 Preview
Elen StelmakhBLAST Premier World Final 2022, the last major CS:GO championship, will start very soon. After that, many teams will go on a winter break, and we will observe the transfer twists and turns. In the meantime, this action has not taken place and has not even begun, we would like to introduce all the participants in the upcoming championship and figure out what this or that team will show in Abu Dhabi. In other words, we will try to answer a number of questions and predict which team will fail and who will fight for victory.
Group A: FaZe Clan, Outsiders, Team Liquid and G2 Esports
A fairly even group in terms of chances, although there is a snag here. Before considering the chances of the teams, it is worth talking about them separately and presenting the current situation.
FaZe Clan
FaZe Clan failed at the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022, although it didn't spoil the results before. After the performance in Rio de Janeiro, many began to bury RobbaN's wards.
But the wave of criticism clearly cheered up the guys who played excellently at the recent BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022. And even though FaZe Clan lost to Heroic in the final, the team quickly recovered after the failure and again made them talk about themselves as a contender for the title.
Outsiders
Moving on to the winner of the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022. The team performed very well in Rio de Janeiro, where they showed their maximum. But if at the beginning of November the team was at the peak of its capabilities, now it risks losing shape on turns and regressing to the average.
However, as can be inferred from the words of the players themselves, the Outsiders practiced a lot and were clearly preparing for the last championship of the season.
Team Liquid
The North American team has changed significantly with the arrival of YEKINDAR, regaining its former confidence. This is evidenced by the results of the “liquid”, which reached the finals of ESL Pro League Season 16 and won the regional RMR tournament. On the other hand, Team Liquid didn't even make it to the playoffs of the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022, where they simply didn't finish their chances and didn't take advantage of the chances.
However, at BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, the team showed their best side, reaching the semi-finals. And there is a feeling that the North Americans will only improve the result, or at least not go lower.
G2 Esports
Perhaps the main outsider of the A quartet. On the one hand, G2 Esports must fight for victory in every tournament by name. On the other hand, the reality is not so simple. Having missed the major in Rio de Janeiro, the team did not become stronger, but only continued to dig themselves even deeper.
Saying goodbye to the coach, G2 Esports did not show anything at BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, where they scored only one victory over Fluxo. And there are no prerequisites that now something will change for the better. Apparently, G2 Esports is again waiting for a permutation for one person, or will we see a loud transfer?
Group B: Heroic, NAVI, Vitality and OG
We are moving smoothly into the second quartet, where, however, there is even less intrigue. Without changing traditions, we will continue to cover the participants in a separate order,
heroic
We will immediately analyze almost the main favorite of the tournament. The Danes reached the finals of the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022, where they still took root. However, the team then became the winner of BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, showing resilience in the final against FaZe Clan.
And there is full confidence that Heroic will not slow down. Of course, there are small fears for k0nfig, who may remember past grievances against cadiaN. However, he seemed to have cleared himself and wished to improve as soon as possible. In general, we will watch, but now the Danes are ahead of everyone else in the group.
NAVI
It's not worth talking about NAVI for a long time, because you can hardly find logic here. It can be seen that the "Born to Win" are tired and they need a long rest. Moreover, even at BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, the team had problems, as it finished its journey in the quarterfinals.
Now it's time for experiments, where NAVI will try the young npl. From this it is difficult to think of something, but in the old memory, the team must leave the group.
vitality
Another team of unfulfilled hopes. Everything is over with these guys, because they failed at the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022, and they didn’t show any special results before. Bypassing BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, the Danish-French team still cannot find their game. And there is only one hope that ZywOo will suddenly wake up and give Vitality several victories.
OG
The main outsider not only of group B, but of the entire championship. But in the fall, OG gave up hope, and with the advent of degster, many hoped for improvements. However, within the framework of BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, the team showed an indistinct game, and further managed to get out of HAVU with CCT North Europe Series #2.
It is clear that changes are brewing in the OG roster. The only question is how many players will be removed from the team. Well, here, in Abu Dhabi, the team will obviously be in the last roles.
The main intrigues of BLAST Premier World Final 2022
You can call it intrigue, but in fact we will analyze the main points that will be interesting to follow during the championship. There are five of them, so buckle up:
- How quickly will teams get used to Anubis? Who will take the risk and pick a card first? You can continue indefinitely. But if everything is clear with changes in rifles, then with maps it’s really interesting. Someone like Heroic won't even feel the change in the map pool. And someone, like NAVI and FaZe Clan, will face a choice: continue to ban Vertigo and risk a new card, or go all-in and start playing that same Vertigo card.
- Who will become TOP-1 in 2022? Agree, in the summer such a question was not in sight, because then s1mple was noticeably ahead of his protégé. However, in the fall, ZywOo added again to create intrigue out of the blue. And there are suspicions that it is BLAST Premier World Final 2022 that will determine the TOP-1 of the season.
- What will happen to NAVI and how will the team adapt to the game with six players? The most intriguing moment of the championship, as "Born to Win" literally whips up intrigue. Firstly, it is not clear who and on what map will play? Secondly, how will the further fate of npl develop with different results of the tournament? In general, the championship itself will be able to answer all questions.
- Latest tournaments for G2 Esports and OG? Everyone understands that next season these teams will make changes. Another question is, will one of them be able to slam the door loudly? We will find the answer to this question very soon, although we do not believe in anything special.
- Can the Outsiders repeat their success? An equally intriguing question, to which it is impossible to come up with an answer on your own. The team really surprised at the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022. But how are things now, after almost a month and a half? And if the Outsiders do not appear as a momentary upstart, then what can we expect from the team next season?
BLAST Premier World Final 2022 will take place from December 14 to 18 in Abu Dhabi at the Etihad Arena. As part of the championship, eight teams of the season will compete for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
