Match schedule
DOTA Summit 8 is scheduled in the USA for dates from December 13 to December 17. The championship will take place at the gaming house of the studio Beyond the Summit in Los-Angeles and tournaments by this organizer are famous for its home environment, great entertaining videos and comfortable conditions for players. Also, there are no viewers at the tournament.
Nine teams will compete in the championship this time, two of them have received direct invites. One more slot has been given to the champion of King's Cup: America and the rest six slots have been up for grabs in regional qualifiers in Europe, CIS, South and North America and Southeast Asia.
There will be an unusual system at the tournament due to the odd number of participants. All competitors will be divided into three groups, where teams will play by a Round Robin system. The best roster from each group will go right to the semi-final and the second places will move to Wild Card, where the last slot in the semi-final will be up for grabs.
The competition has a prize pool in the sum of $300,000 and 300 DPC points due to a Minor status.
