Welcome to EGamersWorld.
We continue our betting tips series on BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, where Stage 1 is heating up. Let me remind you that 16 teams are playing for 8 slots in Stage 2 and most of the slots are already taken - 3 slots are vacant.
FlyQuest and Tyloo are among the contenders to move on. As you can already understand, both teams have a score of 2-2 and are one step away from progressing to Stage.
Let's make a betting prediction, which I hope will help to make the right bet in this very unobvious match.
Let's go.
How the bookies view it: FlyQuest favourite
Before full-fledged betting tips, we need to understand which team will play here first. Bookmakers favour FlyQuest with an average odds of 1.7.
In principle, I agree with this, but not completely. FlyQuest is a more experienced team and has a history of playing in title tournaments, while Tyloo played mostly on the home stage. Except that at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, both teams look virtually identical. And that's hardly an accolade.
But let's take it one by one.
FlyQuest form. What result can be expected from FlyQuest
FlyQuest is a new name for the Counter-Strike 2 competitive scene, but a familiar one for the North American eSports scene. The club is known for its League of Legends team and is now ready to expand into the Counter-Strike arena.
The choice of the American club fell on the Australian squad Greyhound. Now the American team is represented by the following players.
- FlyQuest lineup: INS, Liazz, Vexite, regali, nettik.
The then Grayhound lineup dominated the home arena in the Pacific region, and not because of this constantly played on the international stage. Thus, in 2023 the Australians played almost everywhere: IEM Katowice 2023, EPL Season 17, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, IEM Dallas 2023, EPL Season 18 and so on. However, no significant results were achieved, and the best performance with a stretch can be called TOP-16 at IEM Dallas 2023.
In 2024, they played at several qualifiers, again in their region, and again led, but almost everywhere. Won qualifiers at IEM China 2024, OneQode Frontier, but failed at the most important moment - at RMR. There Ledge and Lynn Vision, thus missing PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024.
IEM China 2024 the team started with a rather unexpected victory over the top 8 PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024, the club C9. Next, they fought Vp, but lost with a 1-2 score and fell to the bottom of the grid. In the match against Nemiga Gaming on two dops won with a score of 2-0, thereby finding themselves in a duel for the exit in play-offs. However, FaZe couldn't be beaten, so FlyQuest finished at the TOP-8. Later there was an appearance at EPL Season 19, with a final top-12 and top-15 at Esports World Cup 2024.
After EWC 2024, FlyQuest played at IEM Cologne 2024, where they finished in the top-24, and after that, they played at ESL Pro League Season 20, where they finished in the top-28. Before playing at Shanghai Major 2024, FlyQuest played at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024 and ELS Challenger League Season 48: Oceania, where they finished in the Top 1.
At PW Shanghai Major 2024, FlyQuest qualified for the PW Shanghai Major 2024 with a quota from Asia-Pacific, finishing in the top 1 at the local RMR.
Playing at PW: Shanghai Major 2024, FlyQuest performed well, Long Sogpegov with 2-0, but got to 2-2. In the Legend Stage match, they lost 1-2 to MIBR, ending their appearance in the Top 16.
At the very beginning of the 2025 season they visited BLAST Bounty Season 1. They made it to the second round, but lost to the world champions Spirit, leaving the tournament at the TOP-16 stage. They also attended IEM Katowice 2025, where they finished in TOP-24. The situation was no better at PGL Cluj-Napoca, where the Australians finished in 16th place.
ESL Pro League Season 21, at least on Long Cogner, looks like the team's most successful tournament of the 2025 season. Before their game against Eternal Fire, they managed to win two matches out of three. However, a subsequent loss to EF and then TYLOO put an end to FQ's performance at EPL S21 and the team finished in the top 19. Later they played at IEM Melbourne 2025, where they lost to NaVi in the bottom set of the group stage, thus placing 12th in the final standings.
Later, FlyQuest attended BLAST Rivals Spring 2025, where they finished in the top 8. Before appearing at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, they finished in the Top 3 at Asian Champions League 2025.
At BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Heroic won 2 out of 2 matches, beating Fluxo and BB.
Tyloo form. What result can be expected from FlyQuest
Compared to the likes of Lynn Vision and The MongolZ, Tyloo have not been very productive.
Among the big results, if you can call it that, is an appearance at ESL Pro League Season 19 and a subsequent top-28 finish there. In fact, it was the only TIR-S tournament Tyloo played in 2 seasons.
- Tyloo roster: JamYoung, Moseyuh, Mercury, Jee.
In the 2025 season, the team played in all sorts of local tournaments. There was an appearance, for example, at the eXTREMEMESLAND 2024 Championship with a prize pool of $100,000. There, Tyloo took TOP-8, which is not a good result if you want it to be.
From the relatively successful indicators - passing OPEN qualification at the Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2025 in the Asian region, but then there were closed qualifiers and TOP-4, and therefore did not enter the tournament.
In addition, they performed at BLAST Rising Asia Spring 2024, where they showed a standard performance. TOP 8.
ESL Pro League Season 21 right from the start was one of the best tournaments in the club's history. The Chinese team outplayed 3DMax and Eternal Fire, which has already surpassed all expectations. In the match for the next stage they lost to GamerLegion. Then Ledge and MIBR, but in the decisive match they were stronger than FlyQuest, thus qualifying for the next stage. However, Tyloo did not manage to hold on to the high places: according to the results of ESL Pro League Season 21, the team finished in the top 16.
At BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, Tyloo made it through the Chinese qualification and finished in the top 2. They started the tournament with a loss to NRG, but defeated Metizport.
Recent head to head: Tyloo edging it
FlyQuest and Tyloo have already faced each other in official matches. Before the game at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, the teams faced each other three times and, most interestingly, Tyloo won all the matches.
Players to watch: INS and JamYoung
INS and JamYoung are among the main personalities of this match. Both players excel in their roles and contribute the lion's share of FlyQuest and Tyloo's wins respectively. However, they can't exactly be called superstars, although they don't need to be on Stage 1.

Predicted result of the match between FlyQuest & Tyloo at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 1
To summarise our betting tips on Tyloo vs FlyQuest, I would like to say that there will be no passing game for either side. I would call this match the centrepiece of the tourney and I definitely want to see a full-fledged Bo3. As for the winner, I'm leaning towards a Tyloo win, which is what I'll bet on.
Prediction tip: Tyloo.
