Mistfall Hunter Release Date: Everything We Know About the Extraction ARPG

Mistfall Hunter, the dark fantasy extraction ARPG from Bellring Games, has finally locked in its release date. After months of beta testing and growing hype, Gyldhunters worldwide can jump into the Gyldenmist starting July 29, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S – with day one availability on Xbox Game Pass. Players will step into a shattered world where fallen gods have left behind a spreading corruption, venturing out solo or in three-player co-op squads to loot relics, fight off monsters and rival hunters, and extract before it's too late. Below, we break down everything confirmed so far – the exact launch time, platforms, pricing, classes, and what's new at launch.
Mistfall Hunter Release Date & Launch Time
Bellring Games has confirmed that Mistfall Hunter launches on July 29, 2026. The global unlock happens simultaneously for everyone at 01:00 UTC on July 30, which translates to 6:00 PM PT on July 29 for players on the West Coast. In practice, this means North American players get the earliest access, while the rest of the world unlocks the game in the early morning hours of July 30 local time.
Here's how that breaks down across major regions:
| Region | Local Launch Time | Date |
| Pacific Time (PT) | 6:00 PM | July 29, 2026 |
| Eastern Time (ET) | 9:00 PM | July 29, 2026 |
| UTC | 1:00 AM | July 30, 2026 |
| Central European Time (CET) | 3:00 AM | July 30, 2026 |
| Kyiv Time (EEST) | 4:00 AM | July 30, 2026 |
| Japan Standard Time (JST) | 10:00 AM | July 30, 2026 |
One important detail to keep in mind: there's no pre-download available this time around. Unlike some launches where you can queue the install the night before, Mistfall Hunter players will need to download and install the game right at launch. If you want to be among the first into the Gyldenmist, it's worth planning your evening around that – and making sure you've got enough free time and bandwidth on hand when the clock hits zero.
Platforms & Editions (Price, Standard vs Deluxe)
Mistfall Hunter is launching across three platforms simultaneously: PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Xbox players get an extra perk, with the game confirmed free on Xbox Game Pass from day one. –
On pricing, Bellring Games has confirmed two versions of the game:
Standard Edition – $24.99. This includes the full game, unlocking all classes, maps, core loot-shoot-extract gameplay, and seasonal content.
Deluxe Edition – $39.99. Buyers receive the Forsaken Skeleton character outfit, Shipwreck Coast profile background, Web of Fate earrings, Justice standing pose, and Pip's Daily Life emote set. The bundle also includes the Dew avatar, Light Feather avatar frame, and 2,500 Fate Coins to spend in the cosmetic shop.
Importantly, Bellring Games explicitly confirmed that all purchasable content – including Deluxe Edition cosmetics and Fate Coins – is strictly cosmetic, with Fate Coins used for outfits and Battle Pass progression rather than gameplay-affecting gear or stat boosts.
If you're not sure yet, there's no need to commit right away – Standard Edition buyers can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition post-launch for $15.00. Also worth noting: Bellring is kicking things off at launch with a 10% introductory discount for about 14 days.
What Is Mistfall Hunter? (Setting, Genre, Core Gameplay Loop)

Mistfall Hunter is a third-person PvPvE extraction ARPG set in Weavereach, a shattered world where the gods have perished and the Gyldenmist is consuming the realm. The backstory ties directly into the gameplay: long ago, a war between the gods and the Outer Gods tore both sides apart, and the blood spilled from that conflict gave rise to the corrupting mist now swallowing the world. Players take on the role of a Gyldhunter, waking from a long slumber with a single purpose – descend into the corrupted zones and recover what's needed to start mending the broken Web of Fate.
The core loop follows the classic extraction formula, filtered through a dark-fantasy lens: players venture into the corruption solo or with up to two companions to hunt corrupted creatures, loot relics, and extract before losing everything to death. Runs revolve around scavenging Gyldenblood and forgotten relics scattered across the map, while staying alert to two very different threats – the monstrous inhabitants of the mist and rival Gyldhunters who may be just as eager to take your loot as the enemies are. To actually keep anything you've found, you need to reach a Returner Woodling and secure the Soul of Return, which lets you escape the zone safely.
That last part is what gives every run its tension: die before extracting, and you lose the entire haul. There's no partial credit for a run gone wrong – only a clean escape banks your loot, which keeps every dive into the Gyldenmist feeling genuinely risky from start to finish.
Classes, Weapons & Launch Content
Six classes make up the launch roster: Mercenary, Sorcerer, Blackarrow, Shadowstrix, Seer, and Withered Knight. The Mercenary tanks and holds ground in melee, the Sorcerer deals elemental damage from range, Blackarrow focuses on precision archery and kiting, Shadowstrix trades survivability for stealth and burst mobility, and the Seer keeps a squad alive through healing and support.
The real depth comes from the weapon-stance system: every class has two separate stances players can switch between mid-fight, each carrying its own skills and talent tree. This effectively doubles the roster – a Mercenary built around a hammer plays nothing like one running sword-and-shield, and a support-focused Seer build looks completely different from a damage-oriented one.
The Withered Knight, added later in development, is generally considered the trickiest class to pick up. Its gameplay is built around applying stacking sigils to enemies through regular attacks, then cashing them in with a detonation ability for a burst of damage. At launch, the class also gets a new weapon option – a polearm-and-shield stance – on top of its original greatsword kit.
Alongside the new class content, the launch update brings the full Season 1 content drop, a reworked ranked system, class balance changes across the board, and general performance optimization work.
Open Beta, Crossplay & What's New at Launch

Mistfall Hunter isn't launching cold – it already went through a large-scale open beta during Steam Next Fest, running from June 14 to June 22, 2026, simultaneously on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Over that week, the test pulled in close to 430,000 players across all platforms, with Steam concurrents peaking above 14,000 at one point – enough to land the game on both Steam's Top Demos and Top Trending Upcoming charts.
The beta was a data-wipe test: everything players earned during the test window was reset once it ended, with only account-tied cosmetic rewards (like a beta avatar frame and an emote) carrying over and unlocking at launch. This was also the first time the Withered Knight – the new greatsword class – became playable, alongside the debut of the Hallowgrove map, built around a bleached, ruined sacred forest.
Crossplay was already active during the beta across all three platforms, letting PC, PS5, and Xbox players share lobbies for both three-player co-op runs and PvP fights. That same cross-platform support carries over into the full release.
As for what's changing between beta and launch, stability has been the studio's stated top priority – the beta drew complaints about frame drops and crashes even on strong hardware, and Bellring Games has said fixing that is the main focus heading into July 29. On top of the optimization work, launch also brings the full Season 1 content, a reworked ranked system, and class balance adjustments – essentially rolling out at full scale what the beta only tested in a limited form.
