General information
Intel Extreme Masters Season XIV — Chicago will be taking place from 18 till 21 July. The total prize pool of the event consists of a quarter of a million dollars and the holding place will be United Center in Chicago.
Holding format
The teams will start to compete at the group stage. There eight teams will get divided into two groups where they will be playing by the GSL system. All the matches of the tournament apart from the grand final will be held in the Bo3 format. The decisive meeting will be held in the series up to three wins. Two best teams from each of the groups will pass to the playoff where the contestants will be playing in the single-elimination bracket.

Broadcast of the tournament
The championship will be streamed by popular casters who we are used to seeing at major tournaments. The host on stage will be Oliver James Borg D’’Anastasi, and the person in charge of the analytics studio will be Tres ‘stunna’ Saranthus. The meetings will be analyzed by Chad ‘SPUNJ’ Burchill, Jacob ‘Pimp’ Winneche and Jordan ‘n0thing’ Gilbert. We will see the matches commented by such casters as Henry ‘HenryG’ Greer, Matthew ‘Sadokist’ Trivett, Anders Blume and Jason O’Toole. The players will be interviewed by Frankie Ward.
