The general information
The tournament by DreamHack will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on April 19-21. The general prize pool will amount $100,000 and the venue for the championship is unknown now.
The format
The group stage will be hosted by the GSL system. Eight participants will be divided into two groups with four teams in each. Teams will have right for a mistake. The top two participants from each group will advance to the playoffs and the worst two will be eliminated from the competition. The first matches and the winner’s matches will be carried out in a bo1 format. The rest of the matches will be hosted in a bo3 battle.
Four teams will play in a Single Elimination bracket at the final stage. All matches will be played in a bo3 format.
Participants
Six participants out of eight, which will come to Rio de Janeiro, have been invited directly by the organizers and the other two have qualified through qualifications. The lucky owners of invites are AGO Esports, AVANGAR, FURIA Esports, Sharks Esports, Luminosity Gaming, and Valiance. eUnited and W7M Gaming have passed the North American and South American qualifiers, respectively.
The prize pool
The general prize pool, as it was said above, will amount $100,000 and it will be distributed among the participants in the following way:
