What can you expect from Far Cry 6?

GamesRadar interviewed the developers of Far Cry 6 in which they shared their plans for the game and what to expect from it.

As it was already known, all events will take place in the state of Yare, where the main character, Dani Rojas, was born and raised (players will have a choice of a man and a woman). Dani will be a member of the resistance side, which is fighting for the freedom of citizens against the dictator Anton Castillo. The main character will ambush his enemies and use a homemade weapon in battle.

It is noteworthy that Yara is completely isolated from the entire outside world. For this reason, you should not expect advanced technology in this place. All weapons and other equipment will be either homemade or obsolete. A large number of weapons will be available in the game, which can be divided into 49 categories. The list will include both conventional pistols, shotguns, rifles and machine guns, as well as other home-made unusual products that allow, for example, lethally shoot CDs.

The game will have a separate role for backpacks as well. The protagonist can get an Uber Supremo, which will be a portable air defense system. According to the developers, the game can be played in different ways, and the equipment and skills of the character will help them to diversify the gameplay and story.

Ubisoft continues to break new records in open world building and Far Cry 6 is no exception. Compared to the previous installments of the series, this title will have the most extensive territory. Various so-called biomes will appear in the game, which will include various locations and city locations. The developers tried to fully convey the spirit of hopelessness, and therefore in the scenery you can see various traces of the past and isolation from the outside world.

The capital of Esperanza, in turn, has been made in such a way that it will have to feel very differently. When playing in this location, users will notice a big difference between the capital and other cities of Yara, and the patrol in Esperanza will be strengthened. The game will have a social stealth system, as it was in its time in Assassin's Creed. Thanks to this system, players will be able to blend in with the crowd and hide from Esperanza's patrols while disguising themselves. In addition, they will be able to simply hide or remove their weapons.

The military will stay not only in the capital of Yara, but also in other cities. They will appear both individually and massively in the form of roadblocks and even air defense points. The latter, by the way, will block the players' ability to use aircraft and pose no danger after their destruction. To maintain the spirit of the game, such posts will be located not in separate structures, but in civilian buildings that have been adapted for the purposes of the military. Schools, farms, television stations and other social and industrial elements of the state structure will be their victims.

It is noteworthy that the developers assure journalists of the need for the right choice of equipment and skills. They talk about dramatic changes in the feeling of the game when using one or another equipment.

After the 1967 revolution, the rebels left special paths that would help the protagonist avoid open clashes with opponents and gain an advantage over them. They will also lead the hero to various caches, in which all kinds of improvements and types of weapons are hidden. Special posts of rebels will allow players to receive missions and acquire companions, among whom will be not only other daredevils, but also tamed faithful four-legged (and not only) companions: crocodiles, dachshund puppy, horses and, possibly, other animals.

Far Cry 6 is scheduled for release on October 7 this year. The title will have to visit all current platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
