The fourth major of the game season 2018/2019 - MDL Disneyland® Paris Major 2019 will be taking place from 4 till 12 May. 16 participants, 15 out of whom got to the competition through the regional qualifier, will be fighting for the prize pool of $1,000,000 and 15,000 DPC points which are necessary for getting to The International 2019. We will tell you about the current results of the teams and their chances to win the competition.
Favourite according to Parimatch:
Team Secret: win coefficient equals 3.75
Virtus.Pro: win coefficient equals 5
PSG.LGD: win coefficient equals 7
All the mentioned teams are favorites according to Parimatch due to their performances at the previous championships of the major series - both Virtus.Pro and Team Secret could be seen among four best at all the previous rating tournaments in this game season. Meanwhile, people started to believe in PSG.LGD again due to the return of Maybe, that had a break for a few months. By the way, the team performed well even with the substitute and took the 5-6 position at DreamLeague Season 11.
Teams that have a big chance to win
Vici Gaming: win coefficient equals 9
Team Liquid: win coefficient equals 11
Evil Geniuses: win coefficient equals 11
OG: win coefficient equals 15
Fnatic: win coefficient equals 17
NiP: win coefficient equals 17
Vici Gaming showed themselves well at the last major which resulted in victory for them. The team won StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor before DreamLeague Season 11.
Meanwhile, Team Liquid really need to work hard to take top places at this event as the guys performed badly at the other two tournaments of the Major series they would not get rating points and would not get a direct invitation to The International 2019.
Bookmakers also started to believe in the victory of the guys from OG, and that is connected with the return of Ana in the main roster. Together with this player, the roster won previous The International.
The only point we don’t agree with is NiP. The guys had had a difficult minor before MDL Disneyland® Paris Major 2019, where they showed some of their new tricks and they are unlikely to show them at this event, and the teams are much stronger there.
Teams that have a little chance to win
Keen Gaming: win coefficient equals 17
Mineski: win coefficient equals 21
Team Empire: win coefficient equals 26
Chaos: win coefficient equals 26
The teams Keen Gaming, Mineski and Chaos are rather strong and have already managed to prove it at the rating events. The teams can win over such favourites as Virtus.Pro and Team Secret, but in the long distance, you should not expect any good results from them.
We want to talk about Team Empire, who are going to become the main mystery of the Paris major as the team didn’t show absolutely anything but in one moment they went off the rail and took the second position at WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Radiant, after that they made it to MDL Disneyland® Paris Major 2019 through the qualifiers at the CIS кwhere they lost against Virtus.Pro.
Outsiders of the competition
paiN Gaming: win coefficient equals 41
compLexity Gaming: win coefficient equals 51
Team Team: win coefficient equals 51
The guys from Team Team and compLexity Gaming had changes before the upcoming championship because of unsatisfactory results, so the bookmakers do not believe in the guys. Their bad preparation is proven by their performances at the previous ESL One Mumbai 2019, where they got placed on the 5-8 positions, and there the teams represent Top 10 in the world rating.
