$500,000 to be raffled off at IEM Katowice 2020
Ihor MatusIntel Extreme Masters Katowice 2020 will be held from February 28 to March 1. Traditionally, the venue for the championship will be Spodek Arena, and the total prize pool will be half a million dollars. Unlike the prize format, the format of the tournament remained the same as before.
10 owners of invites and 6 qualified participants will begin their journey from the group stage. There they will be sown in two groups of 8 participants each and will compete in the double-elimination grid. In the final stage there will be six rosters, four of which will start from the quarter-finals, and the two best representatives of their groups from the semi-finals. The winner of the competition will receive $250,000. The event, by the way, will be included in the Intel Grand Slam Season 3 and ESL Pro Tour 2020 series. In EPT 2020, IEM Katowice 2020 will acquire the status of the Masters Championship.
