First details of FCDB CUP’17

Representatives of FC “Dinamo Brest” announced a CS:GO and FIFA 18 tournament.

FCDB informed that the championship will be hosted online in two stages. It is worth to notice that the tournament will be carried out with a support of Belarus Cybersport Federation. A general prize pool of FCDB CUP’17 amounts $50,000.

Eight teams will compete in the CS:GO LAN final, four of which will receive direct invitations and other four will qualify online.

A qualification to the CS:GO LAN will take place in two stages: the open one and the close one. Every team can take part in the open qualifying round and after that, they go to the closed qualification. The open qualification will be hosted in a Single Elimination bracket on the FaceIt platform.

Four invitations to the LAN final will be up for grabs for teams in the closed qualifying round. Twelve teams will participate in the closed qualification: four winners of the open qualifying round and eight invited teams. Teams will be seeded in two groups with six teams in each one. At the group stage, they will play bo1 matches by a Round Robin system. Four best teams in each group will go to to the LAN final of the closed qualification. Teams to play the worst leave the tournament. The playoffs will be run in a Single Elimination bracket.

The winners of the qualification and invited teams will meet at Falcon Club in Brest, where a prize pool in the sum of $40,000, that has been given for CS:GO, will be up for grabs.
