Faker is the first player to reach the mark of 100 played matches in the LoL World Championships

This time, the member of the T1 roster became the first player in the world to reach the mark of 100 matches played in the League of Legends World Championship.
This achievement was shared by representatives of the eSports organization, under the banner of which Faker performs, on their Twitter account.
The anniversary match took place at the group stage of the ongoing 2022 World Championship. There, Faker and his comrades beat Cloud9 in 25 minutes. The eSportsman ended the meeting with a score of 0-1-9.
At the 2022 World Championship, T1 made it to Group A along with such rivals as EDward Gaming, Fnatic and Cloud9. The team performs with varying success and, together with EDward Gaming and Fnatic, has 2 wins and 1 loss each. The team will have to get into the top 2 of the group in order to go to the next stage of the championship.
The next meeting will take place on the evening of October 13th. The team will compete with Fnatic for extra points.
Lee 'Faker' Sang-hyuk is the most famous and successful League of Legends player in the history of the esports discipline. The Korean's career began on February 28, 2013 under the tag SK Telecom T1 K, and 10 months later the team continued to perform under the banner of T1.
Faker is a single team player. He was the first to win three League of Legends World Championships. He was also the first to break the $1,500,000 mark in prize money earned. He has three wins at the World Championships and two triumphs at the Mid-Season Invitational, the top 2 tournaments in importance. In 2017, he stopped a step away from becoming the champion of the 2017 World Championship, and in 2020, for the first time, he failed to get into the tournament of this series. In addition, the Korean esportsman has repeatedly won the LCK leagues. The total prize money he has earned is $1,531,440.
The 2022 World Championship, where T1 currently competes, runs from September 29 to November 5. The total prize fund of the tournament is $2,225,000. 24 participants compete for the top prize of $489,500.
