Gen.G Esports is the winner of LCK Summer 2022
/The LCK Summer 2022 has come to an end. As part of the championship, which was held from June 15 to August 28 in South Korea at LoL PARK and Gangneung Arena, ten South Korean teams fought for a prize fund of $281,155, rating points, and one direct ticket to 2022 World Championship. The winner of the tournament was the Gen.G Esports team, which defeated T1 with a score of 3:0 in the grand final, thanks to which they qualified for the upcoming World Championship. In turn, the T1 team, despite the defeat in the grand final, will still play at the 2022 World Championship by the number of points in the regional division.
The championship for the future winner began with a confident performance in the group stage, where Gen.G Esports got 17 wins and suffered only 1 defeat from T1.
Having made it to the playoffs, the South Korean team confidently dealt with SANDBOX Gaming (3:1), after which they defeated T1 (3:0) in the final and became the winner of LCK Summer 2022.
Score (mentor of Gen.G Esports) was recognized as the best coach of the championship. Regular season MVP was Ruler from Gen.G Esports, while Peanut (Gen.G Esports) was MVP of the Finals. Well, the players of the split were Prince (SANDBOX Gaming) and Ruler (Gen.G Esports).
The current lineup for the 2022 World Championship is as follows: Top Esports, Gen.G Esports, T1, G2 Esports, Rogue, Isurus, MAD Lions and 100 Thieves.

The 2022 World Championship will take place from September 29 to November 5 in Mexico and the United States. The Play-In stage will take place from September 29 to October 4 at the Arena Esports Stadium in Mexico City, and the group stage will take place from October 7-10 and October 13-16 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. As part of the championship, 24 teams from all over the world (excluding the CIS) will compete for a total prize pool of $2,225,000.
