In brief:

Mineski is the oldest and most famous organization in the Southeast region. The club was founded at the dawn of the industry, in 2004, however, they became famous in 2010s.

Let us present the history of the Dota 2 subdivision of Mineski.

First Appearance

Mineski first got known in 2011. Then the team debuted at The International 2011 where they took 9th-12th place.

That roster consisted of Wootz, Julz, John, Owa, VASH. The same team represented Mineski at Malaysia Invitational which resulted in third place in September 2011.

Dark Times for Mineski

The season 2012-2013 deserved the right to be called Mineski’s dark period. The team spent two years looking for an optimal roster running experiments one after another.

In 2012, however, the team managed to win the Razer Dota 2 Tournament which was one of the biggest victories for the team in two years. Also, in 2012 the team took tenth place at The Premier League Season 1, fourth place at WCG Asian Championship 2012 and 5th-8th place at Gigabyte E-Sports Tournament Dota 2.

It did not come to a trip to The International in that year. том году речь и не шла. Yet, Mineski was overboard at TI in 2013 as they took 5th-8th place at the qualifiers.

But at the end of 2013 Mineski had a series of performances with second places at Netolic Pro League #3 East, RGN League 2013/2014 and Asian Cyber Games 2013.

Mineski Ascend

2014 could be called crucial for Mineski, even though it did not go smoothly. The season started with 3rd-4th place at the qualifiers for Netolic Pro League #5 East.

It went on with 7th-8th place at AOC Pro Cup 2014, 9th-18th place at Asian Cyber Games Invitational: Best of the Best and 9th-12th place at The Inaugural.

In May the situation got better for a moment. Then the team took fourth place at Corsair Asia Cup, however, in the same month the players finished fourth at the qualifiers for The International 2014.

Bad luck at the qualifiers for TI started a streak of unlucky events for Mineski. The team got placed 5th-8th at GEST SEA june, Good Play Sea Invitational, IeSF Asian Championship.

In October 2014, Jacko and Paseo were excluded from the club due to their participation in rigged matches. And jhoven also left the team.

The positions of the former players were taken by JoHnNy and Ahfu, and later the team welcomed Jay. At the end of November, the organization had their roster completed.

Having refreshed the roster, Mineski took second place at Dota 2 Thailand Championship and fourth place at OK.- Dota 2 Cup.

Season 2015

The new season started with changes in the roster. JoHnNy and Ahfu were replaced by Polo and Yamaguchi, however, after a month of playing for the team, Mineski’s newbies left and their slots were given to JessieVash and Kuku.

In March 2015, the team finished third at The Prime Major, after that the players took 5th-8th place at GEST SEA Cup. In April the team went through a streak of passable performances taking second places at the qualifiers for i-League Season 3 South East Asia Qualifier, ESL One Frankfurt – Southeast Asian Qualifier, G-Guard Challenge and Mineski Pro-Gaming League Season 7 Leg 1.

In May, the team took fourth place at insideDOTA Asia Challenge and third at Mineski Pro-Gaming League Season 7. In the same month Mineski failed the qualifiers for The International 2015 with 5th-10th place at the local quals.

After their loss at the qualifiers, the team managed to win Mineski Pro-Gaming League Season 7 Leg 2 and take fourth place at SEA Dragon Battle Season 2.

In August the team won the Asia Arena Cup and NXTGAME Dota 2 Invitational. However, Corsair Gaming Arena #6 was absolutely crashing for Mineski as the players took 9th-16th place.

In August 2015, the team changed the roster. The new team included Kuku, ryOyr, JessieVash, Julz, and Jay.

The updated roster represented Mineski at the qualifiers for Major tournaments. At the first qualifiers for ESL One New York, the team took 3rd-4th place but in October the team won the qualifiers for Nanyang Dota 2 Championships and The Frankfurt Major 2015. Mineski could not show their best at the tournaments: the players took 9th-10th place at Nanyang Dota 2 Championships and 9th-12th at The Frankfurt Major 2015.

At the end of the season Mineski won the qualifiers for MDL 2015 Winter.

Season 2016

At the beginning of 2016, Mineski took 5th-10th place at the qualifiers for The Shanghai Major 2016 and 9th-10th place at MarsTV Dota 2 League 2015.

A month later the team took 3rd-4th place at BTS Southeast Asia #3. In March the team qualified for ESL One Manila. Besides, at the tournament the team did not show any great performance. As a result, the team finished seventh-eighth.

Later there was 5th-8th place at WCA2016 SEA Qualifiers and a victory at the qualifiers for The Manila Major 2016. AT the tournament the team had the worst performance that brought 13th-16th place to the team.

After the failure at the Major tournament in Manila, the team took 6th-10th place at the qualifiers for The International 2016. Apparently, the team called for colossal changes of the roster.

In July, the renewed roster was presented and it included был Bimbo, Benhur, Bokerino, Junz, Cast. The update of the roster influenced Mineski’s results positively. The team became a gold finalist at Mineski Pro-Gaming League Season 8, took 5th-8th place at Pro Gamer League 2016 – Summer, first place at MR.Cat Invitational, second place at Mineski Pro-Gaming League Season 8 Leg 2.

Also the team finished 3rd-4th at ROG masters 2016 and ASUS ROG SEA Cup.

2017 and 2018

The seasons 2017-2018 might be considered to be some of the most successful times for Mineski. In March 2017, the team formed a new roster around Mushi. The new roster included kYxY, Mushi, Bimbo, eyyou and ninjaboogie.

The players became silver finalists at the qualifiers for The Manila Masters SEA, Mars Dota 2 League 2017 and ZOTAC Cup Masters SEA.

The team announced a new roster before the qualifiers for The International 2017: Ark, Mushi, Mag~, ryYor and ninjaboogie joined the team.

Unfortunately, it did not help them to make it to TI, so in August Ark, Mag~ and ryOyr left the team and their slots were given to NaNa, iceiceice and jabz.

With the renewed roster, Mineski won the World Cyber Arena 2017 APAC Qualifier, qualified for PGL Open Bucharest, StarLadder i-League Invitational, AMD SAPPHIRE Dota PIT League, The Perfect World Masters.

At StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 3, the club finished second, and PGL Open Bucharest turned out to be victorious for the team.

By the end of the year Mineski had taken 7th-8th place at Perfect World Masters.

In 2018, Mineski took part in all possible big tournaments. The team took 3rd-4th place at StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 4, 9th-12th place at ESL One Katowice 2018 and 12th-14th place at The Bucharest Major.

In April 2018, Mineski won the biggest tournament in the history of the club – Dota 2 Asia Championship 2018. Later the team took 5th-6th place at three Major championships in a row: EPICENTER XL, MDL Changsha Major and ESL One Birmingham 2018. In June the team finished 9th-12th at China Dota2 Supermajor and took the same position in the tournament bracket at The International 2018.

After TI, the team dismissed ninjaboogie, iceiceice and jabz, their slots were taken by JT-, kpii and febby. In November, Mushi left the club and he was replaced by pieliedie.

By the end of the year Mineski had won the AMD Dota 2 Pro Series 2018 and DreamHack Mumbai Invitational 2018.

Season 2019 and Mineski Decline

The very beginning of 2019 brought Mineski new reshuffles. At the start of the year the team dismissed JT- whose position was given to Ahjit. In March, after the failure at DreamLeague Season 11, Febby and pieliedie left the team, and ninjaboogie and Bimbo returned to the roster.

In April the team took second place at ESL One Mumbai 2019 and 9th-12th place at MDL Disneyland Paris Major.

In June the team welcomed Nikobaby who replaced Ahjit. The renewed roster helped Mineski to take 5th-8th place at WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Dire Asia and 5th-6th place at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2.

The last tournament for Mineski was The International 2019 where the players got 9th-12th place. In August 2019 all players of the roster left the organization, and all activity of the Dota 2 subdivision was frozen.
