Robin «ropz» Kool is one of the most prominent representatives of the Estonian Counter-Strike stage. Robin is a unique gamer as he began his career in 2015 and the gamer has always remain loyal to his clubs and stayed there for a long time. Let us take a look at the development of ropz as an esportsman.
Beginning of Career
As the majority of other esportsmen, ropz began his career in the industry in computer clubs and he devoted lots of time to gaming. In his childhood, Robin demonstrated a high level of understanding of everything happening in games and in years these skills have only improved. It is no surprise that computer games helped him to build a career of a successful player.
At the beginning of his career, he played for only local mixes. Among them, there were OnlineBOTS, Nevermind, Pro Era, and DEEZ NUTS. Playing for these mixes, ropz gained experience and confidence in his power.
In January 2017, the gamer won FACEIT Pro Leagu – Europe: January 2017. It helped ropz to become distinctive. Consequently, the success in the league FACEIT helped him to join mousesports.
Mousesports and Individual Achievements
Robin became a mousesports gamer in April 2017. In May ropz and his team took 3-4 place at DreamHack Open Tours 2017 and third place at ESL Pro League Season 5 – Europe. In June, the team performed at the final stage at ESL Pro League Season 5 where the team took 5-6 place. In July, ropz and the team stopped at 9-11 place at ESL One: Cologne 2017 and 12-14 at PGL Major Krakow 2017.
In September 2017, ropz and the team won ESG Tour Mykonos 2017 but in the same month failed at ELEAGUE CS: GO Premier 2017.
The last month in 2017 was very successful and the team took second place at Esports Championship Series Season 4 – Finals.
2017 was pretty fruitful for ropz and 2018 was even better.
In February 2018, the team got victorious at StarLadder & i-League StarSeries Season 4 and one month later at V4 Future Sports Festival – Budapest 2018. In the same year, ropz and his teammates won ESL One: New York 2018. After that there was a decline period that lasted almost a year. ropz and mousesports came back to the previous level only in autumn 2019.
In November 2019, the team won CS: GO Asia Championship 2019. Then the team became the champion at ESL Pro League Season 10 – Finals and cs_summit 5. In the same month, the team finished in second position at EPICENTER 2019. The last colossal result for ropz before the start of the coronavirus pandemic was the victory at ICE Challenge 202 in February 2020.
In his career, ropz got to Top-20 of the best players according to HLTV twice, taking the nineteenth place in 2018 and the tenth place in 2019. Robin was called MVP ESL Pro League Season 10: Finals, and also became the first representative of Estonia that managed to get to the Major tournament. In his career, ropz has already won over 488,000 dollars of grabs.
