Biography apEX
Dan «apEX» Madesclaire is one of the most experienced players on the professional competitive Counter-Strike stage. Dan started his journey to the top of CS when there still was Counter-Strike: Source. Let us introduce how apEx started his development as an esportsman.
Beginning of career and Counter-Strike:Source
As the majority of esportsmen, apEX had started his career long before he got to the professional club. Since his early childhood, the gamer got interested in computer games which, consequently, helped him to build quite a successful career.
The first version of the game for apEX was Counter-Strike: Source. apEX played it from 2009 till 2012. DUring this period of time he played for such teams like gamed!de, beta, UNTAGGED, dreamrar, redface, Team Sypher, hf.MOTHER, 3DMAX, Team LDLC.com, and VeryGames. The most brilliant results were reached by the gamer while representing VeryGames. Dan and his teammates won almost all most prestigious CS:Source tournaments. They became multiple champions of PxL LAN #33, CEVO European Skirmish 2012, Multiplay Insomnia 45, EMS: Season X – Finals and others.
When the new version of the game appeared, apEX finished his esports career in Counter-Strike: Source and started to pursue a career in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
The first club in the new version of the game for apEX was Anexis eSports. apEX played for Anexis only for a month and later joined Epsilon eSports where he also did not decide to stay for a long time.
In September 2009 the gamer moved to PRIME CLAN but a month later left the roster. Dan continued looking for himself on the professional stage remembering his previous results and wanting to repeat them in a new for him game.
In October 2012, the gamer joined Team eXtensive! There apEX spent three month playing at minot championships. It did not suit the gamer and he left the team in January 2013. In the same time he moved to his previous organization of his CS: Source era – Team LDLC.com. There the game played for seven months and after some failed performances the player left the team.
The next stay for apEX was the club Clan-Mystic. The gamer represented the club for four months and then came back to LDLC. His second return was quite a success.
In March 2014, apEX and his team took 5-8 place at ESL Major Series One Katowice 2014, and five months later they finished on the third-fourth position at ESL One: Cologne 2014, getting beaten by the best team of those times, NiP. These results led apEX to a new organization – Titan eSports.
Titan eSports and a Crucial Moment
Joining Titan eSports, the French gamer continued performing in a stable way. But, it did not affect the results. As a Titan player, apEX was unable to achieve the top position. The best results of performance for the organization could be considered the third-fourth place at DreamHack Open Summer 2015 and Gfinity Spring Masters 2.
Dan played for Titan from September 2014 till July 2015. In summer 2015, apEX left the team and became a Team EnVyUs member.
Team EnVyUs
Joining EnVyUs became the start of a new development in apEX’s career. Right after his transition to the club, the gamer won Intel Extreme Masters Season X — gamescom. In August 2015, apEX and his teammates took second place at ESL One: Cologne 2015, getting defeated by the best team at that time — Fnatic. However, the loss only boosted the morale of the team.
In September 2015, apEX and his team won DreamHack Open London 2015 and Gfinity Champion of Champions. In that month, the team took second place at Counter Pit League and one more month later apEX played with the national team of France at The World Championship 2015.
In November 2015, apEX won the most prestigious tournament in his career. EnVyUs beat NaVi in the final of DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015 becoming the world champions.
After the victory at the world championship, the results deteriorated. Dan and the team tried to get back on track but failed at three sequential Major tournaments. In February 2017, apEX left EnVyUs.
In February 2017, the gamer became a G2 Esports member. In G2 Esports, the player was performing at the high level winning major championships. With his teammates, apEX took first place at ESL Pro League Season 5 – Finals and first place at DreamHack Masters Malmo 2017.
In October 2018, apEX continued his journey.
